Any NSeries smartphone owner usually goes through one problem. Their gallery feature shows all the photos and videos present on the device (Even if you don't want to).

There are many reasons why the phone owner may want to keep certain photos and videos out of everybody else's reach.
1. The main worry, of course, is how to stop them accidentally deleting your precious photo or an amazing video.
2. Another problem is that not all of your multimedia content might be suitable for young eyes and ears. From music videos to violent film clips, there are thousands of reasons why you do not want your children( and sometimes elders ;-) ) to access all your media. But the gallery, helpfully, lists everything it can find on your device ( that's so annoying ,even embarrassing sometimes). How can you stop it doing this, short of deleting all your favorite files?

There are many ways of hiding them from Gallery.

One method is to use third party encryption software. These applications simply encrypt and decrypt the files on your request and hide them beyond the reach of the secret service but there is more than one reason why you wont use them.

1. Because they cost money.
2. Because you don't want to have to wait for minutes each time while the utility encrypts or decrypts tens or hundreds of megabytes of binary video data.
3. Because we don't want to keep it secret, its just that we want to keep it out of somebody's reach. That's it.

Now, coming to the point.
You are going to keep the files away from the reach of Gallery. For that you will need a third party File Explorer to execute it.
Some of them are YBrowser, ActiveFile etc.

There are many methods to do it. I will discuss them one by one.(Assuming you have installed YBrowser on your phone).

1. Using hidden attribute.
This is the simplest method of all.

i. Start YBrowser and navigate to the file location.
ii. Bring the tab on the file which you want to hide.
iii. Click on Options > File > Attributes . Chang the "Hidden" property to "On" and click save.

2. Using _PAlbTN folder.

i. Connect the phone to PC in Mass Storage mode.
ii. Copy the files you want to hide in a new folder. (Hide files in E > Data > Secret, where "Secret" is the folder that I have created right now. Paste the files in this folder.
iii. Now disconnect the phone. You will see that the gallery shows the files that you have pasted in "Secret" folder.
iv. Reconnect the phone in Mass Storage mode or operate via Ybrowser and open the folder "Secret". You will see, along with your files, a folder called "_PAlbTN". Open it and create a new folder and dump the files in it.

In both the cases use YBrowser ( or, of course, any other file browser that you have used) to view the files

Now go to the gallery and you will see that your files are not visible.
Eureka Eureka
You are done.
