2009 NFL Sleepers Fantasy Football Draft Wide Receivers (WRs)

The wide receiver position is slowly becoming as crucial as the running back position in fantasy football. We all know who to take with the first 4-5 picks but which receivers will have breakout potential in the later rounds. These ten wide receivers are my favorites going in to the draft room.

1.Devin Hester - For some odd reason Devin Hester is consistently available in the late late rounds of drafting. Hester may not have had a spectacular season last year but he's got Jay Cutler throwing to him. He's a WR1 and he's an excellent choice to draft as a bye player when your other WR1s are out. There is nothing but upside to this pick, expect to grab him after the 9^th or 10^th round.

2.Dwane Bowe - This guy has all the tools and is guaranteed to see the looks as Matt Cassel will be looking to prove last years numbers weren't a fluke. The problem is the Bowe is being overlooked until the 4^th and sometimes 5^th round. Make no mistake about this pick, he should be going in the 3^rd round. Grab your two stud running backs and maybe even another WR1 then target Bowe. You won't be disappointed.

3.Nate Burleson - Sure TJ will see the ball more which leaves this guy often undrafted. He's an excellent fill in on bye weeks and can be drafted around the 14^th round. Remember he had non-existent stats last year due to an injury. This year Matt Hasselback is back (weak pun I know) and Burleson will see a decent amount of looks.

4.Santana Moss - For some reason Moss gets no respect in drafts. I'm not saying he's got fantastic numbers but for a 8^th or 9^th round pick you get a credible WR1 who will see a ton of looks. Jason Campbell is pissed because the Skins almost traded him for Cutler and now the Skins are contemplating Michael Vick. Getting Moss allows you the flexibility to load up on running backs as your first priority. Then get a decent QB and another WR1. After that grab a TE and low and behold Moss will still be there.

5.DeSean Jackson - This is perhaps my biggest sleeper. I grab him every chance I get. Donovan McNabb will be throwing a lot of balls towards Jackson. Top that with a legitimate big play opportunity every time he catches the ball and you got your self a WR1 that in my opinion will be a top 15 receiver. You can typically grab him in the 7^th or 8^th round, sometimes later. Do not miss this pick.

6.Derrick Mason - Now that the whole retirement fiasco is behind him, Mason will be a constant threat. There is no question he will get the ball. The only question is whether or not Flacco will target him in the Red Zone. Typically you can grab Mason around the late 10^th or 11^th round.

7.Roy E. Williams - Tony Romo loves Witten. But Williams will be looking for a big year. He got paid big money and had a very slow year in 2008. Now that TO is gone look for Williams to finally step it up a notch. I've seen Williams go around the 6^th or 7^th round. A steal considering the Cowboys are in love with Romo and Williams will get the looks.

8. Kevin Walter - Walter puts up consistently good stats year in and year out. A great bye week fill in, Schaub wll look to find Walter when he's not zeroing in on Johnson. Amazingly enough he sometimes goes undrafted. Snag him if you're looking for a bye week wide receiver.

9.Josh Morgan - Michael Craptree is a Diva. Forget him and don't target him. It looks like a holdout and then banishment to obscurity for him. On the other hand the 49ers will be chucking the ball occasionally and Morgan looks to get a decent amount of those balls thrown to him.

10.Eddie Royal - This guy will put up numbers very close to Brandon Marshall. Look for Marshall to get suspended sometime this year and Royal will become a hot commodity. The coaches love him and he looks to play a prominent role in Kyle Orton's passing attack. Try and snag him around the 8^th to 9^th round. Trust me you won't be disappointed.
