British Airways Not so Perky at the Moment

Ms. Unique
A job in the travel industry always meant travel perks for those who pimp their skills for airlines, airports and such. But those sunny days aren't as bright for a select few.
Among many cut backs around the globe during this "recession" time may be those luscious perks.

The perk slash threat of the moment is with British Airways. Because of all the proposed strikes and fighting between the airline and its cabin crew workers, the airline will be forced to permanently cut perks for their workers till profits rise again.

So much for that cheap trip to Maui!

The reason for this un-cool possibility?
All the bickering (strikes) can financially hurt the airline, so they have to cut somewhere.

Why all the striking in the first place?
Workers are unhappy with contract adjustments and employment cuts. "Job cuts" is beginning to sound much like a cliché these days all across the globe.

Seems like a new reality for most of the World, but not a reality we can't change with time, creativity, and new thought.

Happy travels folks,

Unique
