Christmas Party Games for Adults

Donna Daniels
Christmas is a great time of year to play games with the adults at your Christmas gathering. When you keep people occupied at a social event it makes it nicer and more fun for everyone. Here are some ideas for adult games you can play for Christmas .

Charades is an old fashioned game that has been played for ages. Adults can play this game and everyone can get involved. First separate the adults into two teams and have each team make a list of things for the other team to portray. Your list can be animals like a dog, cat or bird or it could be household appliances like a washer, egg beater and toaster. After each team has a list made cut the words apart and place them in a hat. Then pick a team to go first. The first player will pick out an item from a hat and act it out. The other players from that players team will try to figure out what they are trying to act out. The teams will take turns guessing the answers. The team who has the most answers correct wins.

Scrabble is a good adult Christmas game. You can get a scrabble game from a store like Walmart or Kmart. Follow the directions that come with the game but when someone makes a work associated with Christmas they get double points. For example if someone makes a work like manger it is a Christmas word worth double the points. It is best to have someone in charge of deciding if a word is a Christmas word. Or you can have a list of approved Christmas words before the game starts.

Hide the pickle is a good adult Christmas game. Get a glass pickle tree ornament and hide it in your Christmas tree. Then the adults try to find the pickle. The pickle can be hidden a number of times and the person who finds the pickle gets a kiss from the person who hid the pickle. You can use any ornament in place of the pickle. You don't have to use the kiss as a prize you can use whatever prize you want to use. You can find glass pickles at a Christmas aisle at a store near you if you want to use the traditional pickle.
