Easter Morning Sunrise Service

An Easter Poem

Pattie Byrd
Outdoor sunrise service, frosty and brisk,
Who in the world thought of this?
The sun's coming up like bright shining gold,
Beautiful and stunning in spite of the cold.
Songs filled with praise sung by the crowd,
Happiness abounds as the music is loud.
Sad thoughts of a cross on a lonely deserted hill,
An empty grave discovered gives us a thrill.
Smells of bacon and biscuits fill the air.
Good news being preached to rid us of despair.
Friendly good wishes being shared by all,
Making each person glad they responded to the call.
