Factors that Can Cause You to Lose Your Weight Loss Motivation

Weight Loss Motivation Will Remain Higher with Other's Involvement

We all start our weight loss program with tons of weight loss motivation out of the starting gate. The hard part is keeping that motivation till the finish line. Weight loss is a huge concern these days and if you need to lose even just a few pounds, you know it's hard to sustain your weight loss motivation.

There are several factors in the loss of weight loss motivation. Maybe you weren't really ready to begin your weight loss program at the present time. This is a key factor in losing that weight loss motivation early on in your weight loss program.

1. Other factors that can cause you to lose your weight loss motivation is lack of an adequate support system.

Having others that know and care about your weight loss goals is important. This support system will urge you to stay motivated to reach your weight loss goals. They will remind you the reason's why you're working toward weight loss, whether it's a personal choice to look better in those really cute jeans or if it's for your health.

Weight loss motivation will remain higher with other's involvement. We're all social and don't want to disappoint anyone so we will strive harder to reach our weight loss goals if others are urging us to do it as well. This support system of people pushes us and holds us accountable. They help keep our weight loss motivation up and on track.

2. Another factor in giving up on our weight loss is that we just don't seem to see results fast enough.

You lose your weight loss motivation within the first or second week when the scales show the slightest weight gain. This is the time to really push against those feelings of despair and doubt. Despair and doubt will always rear their ugly heads at the most inopportune of moments and they are real weight loss motivation killers. Overcome these obstacles and push them away and then you'll be on your way to your weight loss goals.

3. The next key factor in weight loss goals and weight loss motivation is to take action.

Taking action means doing something and that means exercise. You must do some kind of exercise to get your heart rate up and burn those calories to achieve any amount of weight loss. Even slight exercising produces an endorphin in the brain that makes you feel better and that keeps the weight loss motivation at a peak level.

4. Another factor is you just don't feel like it today.

You didn't wake up with any weight loss motivation and the exercise makes you hurt and any excuse to not work on your weight loss program will do for today. Remember that nothing worth having comes for free. You are worth working for your weight loss, for the benefits it will bring to you and your lifestyle or health. Everyone would be the ideal weight and we'd live in an obesity free world if weight loss were as easy as making excuses not to do it instead of exercising for it.

Weight loss is as internal as it is external and if you get that mindset you won't be as likely to lose your weight loss motivation. Tell yourself when it seems impossible that you can do it and once you know it inside you'll be motivated for life and then watch the weight loss happen.
