Have you ever wondered what is the difference between a blender and a food processor? This informative report can give you an insight into everything you've ever wanted to know about this kitchen appliance.

A blender is an appliance that one cannot do without in the kitchen. It is a huge aid particularly in preparing food and beverages for your household. You are able to use it when you prepare for a party at your house. You may mash vegetables and create purees, crush ice and fruits which make delicious shakes.

Many people also use their blenders to squeeze hard spices that could be unpleasant to sample when ingested. The blender then crushes these spices into powder which will not only eliminate the biting taste sensation, it will also easily incorporate the flavor into the dish .

Although it seems that blenders are frequently mistaken as a food processor. As a matter of fact, many individuals don't really recognise the difference between the two except that one is smaller than the other. As a whole, blenders and food processors do have some similar purposes.

Blenders are great for smoothies and other liquid drinks. If you wish to turn your food into liquid, then the blender is the better solution. Blenders are good for creating purees, and grinding food into little pieces. Blenders can make great fruit smoothies and it can crush ice although it is good to remember that not all blenders have this function.

The blender can also be used to make sauces and can chop ingredients for specific dishes.

But a food processor can process solid foods and can prepare semi solid foods. Of the two, the food processor is believed to be the most flexible as it can also liquidize. Since the food processor also has interchangeable blades and discs, you may use the food processor in many ways. For example the food processor can chop and slice vegetables, and also puree vegetables and fruits for your baby.

A food processor can also be a enormous help when baking as it can assist with the combining of ingredients, kneading the bread, it can also grind bread crumbs for your crust. It can also be used as a strainer when you are making juice. There are either manual food processors or electric food processors.

If you are debating whether to purchase a blender or a food processor for your household it really all hinges on what you want to do with it. If you want to use it chiefly for cooking and preparing meals then the food processor is the more practical option. But if you're going to use it to make healthy smoothies for your household, it would be best to purchase a blender as that is its primary job. If however, you are wanting to use it to prepare both food and drinks, then the food processor is going to be the best choice.
