Fried Chicken Drumstick Marinated with Tumeric Powder

Anya
Ingredients:

6 Chicken Drumsticks
2 table spoons tumeric powder
2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon corn flour
2 sticks of lemon grass

Directions:

Put the drumsticks in a mixinf bowl together with the tumeric powder, salt and corn flour. Chopped 1 stick of lemon grass and add into the mixing bowl. Mix all the ingredients and let it marinate for 30 minutes to an hour.

Heat up vegetable oil in a deep frying pan and throw in the leftover lemon grass. ( this is to give the oil a nice lemon grass fragrance). To know if the oil is ready for you to put in the chicken , just a wooden chopstick or a wooden spatula to test the oil, if you can see bubble rising from the chopstick or spatula, this means its ready for you to fry the chicken.

Put the drumstick into the oil to fry till it golden brown and cooked. Do not fry all the drumsticks at one time separate it into 2 times so the chicken can be cooked evenly. 9 this depends on the size of the frying pan you are using and the fire power on your stove.

Once the chicken is cooked drain the oil and serve.

You can make this with chicken wings, ribs and thighs. You also can try with fish and serve with a squeeze of lemon juice on it.
