a Healthy Gut is the Key to a Healthy Body

JAMIE MYLES
You feel tired and bloated. You have an embarrassing problem with flatulence and you have skin irritations. What can be causing this? The answer is an unhealthy gut.

If you want a healthy body, you need a healthy gut. When things go wrong with the body it is generally because we haven't taken proper care of it. When considering our health we need to start with the Gut. What is the Gut? Well, let me answer that question. It is our gastrointestinal system also known as the digestive system.

The gut (digestive system) needs to be viewed as a system that is connected to an entire network of systems in the body. Did you know that arthritis, heart disease, auto-immune diseases and mental health disorders can be aggravated or even triggered by problems that originate in the Gut? Keeping the Gut healthy is one of the best things we can do for over all good health. The Gut is involved in activities that affect every cell of the body. This means that the well being of every system in your body depends on a healthy Gut. Your Gut is responsible for digesting food and absorption of nutrients into the body. It is also responsible for eliminating waste and flushing harmful toxins from your body. all these functions are very necessary to optimal health. If the Gut isn't working well, the entire body suffers. Most health problems start with improper digestion or unhealthy diet.

The health of the entire body depends on the health of the Gut. If any or all of the parts of the Gut are not functioning properly it can be very detrimental to the total well being of the body. The environment of the Gut contains both good and bad organisms. When the Gut is healthy the good organisms are dominant. In an unhealthy Gut you will find an abundance of bad organisms which prevent the proper digestion of food and hinder the absorbing of the nutrients that our body needs.

The key to a healthy Gut is remembering what you put into you body matters. the following tips will help you maintain a healthy gut and by doing so have a healthier body.

1. Add plenty of fiber to your daily diet. This can be accomplished by eating beans and whole grain breads. also by eating high fiber cereals and fruits and vegtables.

2. Drink plenty of water

3.Exercise. Get up and move. all systems of the body function better if you get a reasonable amount of exercise.

4. Adequate rest. This is very important to the entire body to function well.

5. limit sugar. To much sugar causes the pancreas to over work to produce higher levels of insulin which hinders the release of growth hormones which ends up depressing the immune system.

As you can see, the Gut is key to living a healthy life. We maintain the good health of the Gut so the rest of our body systems can also be healthy. When we're healthy we are happy and enjoy a better quality of life. So lets get healthy!
