A good mix of colorful people. That's what makes Atlanta the multicultural place that it is. More than likely you'll find of age, hip, youthful people seeking to "get their grub on" & "get their drink on." The Porter Beer Bar boasts of having nearly 150 beer brews and approximately 12 inexpensive but delightful wines, maybe you're with the crowd but would prefer a simple glass of wine. These selections should be appeasing to your senses; you're not forced into the beer frenzy taking place amongst your party of friends.
This new hot spot stays on its toes; a big crowd graces its tables. If you want to try the weekend, early Sunday evening is probably a better choice to claim your table. Try not to drink too much on the "Lord's Day." Food Prices range from $10.00-$20.00 very easy on the wallet.
Beer drinkers don't worry the menu gives you all the proper suggestions for what type of beer goes with the meals. The beer and meal are paired very well, and complement each other. The menu has affordable good food. The menu isn't your basic bar food. Dishes have been elevated to a new level. The chef and sous chef on board know how to dazzle your taste buds with outstanding delights. After all they have made other restaurants in the metro area number #1.Why should the Porter Beer Bar be any different?
The Menu-The specialty dish to have is the pureed salt cod with olive oil, milk & potatoes is good, if cod's for you. Are you a grit lover? The Shrimp and Grits dish is almost too good to mention. The grits are deliciously, hot and creamy blended with white cheddar and Portobello and crimini mushrooms. Jazzed up salads are on the menu if that's what you're diggin'. The Caesar has romaine lettuce that is grilled just a little and filled with anchovies, aged Asiago and fresh garlic croutons. It is good. The restaurant/pub's take on Beef Stroganoff is a "winner for dinner. " The pasta is made fresh at The Porter Beer Bar, the meat inside are melt in your mouth meatballs. It's layered with flavor and has a real, rich and creamy mushroom sauce. Don't skimp out on dessert the pastry counter is whispering your name.
Are you in the Metro area lookin' for a new hot spot that has reasonable prices good food and fun? Check out the Porter Beer Bar.
