How to Love Yourself, when You Feel No One Else Does

Anthony Vaughn
1. Don't Focus On You Flaws.
Growing up, I focused so much on what I thought were faults. It wasn't until I met a woman who did the same. In my eyes there was nothing wrong, but she constantly focused on her flaws. One of the lessons I learned as a photographer was; what ever you focus on, that's what will develop.

2. Only Your Opinion Matters.
Often times, we get caught up in what everyone else thinks, we forget to take our own feelings into consideration. Everyone else will always base there feelings on there personal assumptions. Meanwhile, your opinion about yourself comes from your past experiences. If you can overlook other peoples assumptions and your own experiences, you can develop the positive and true opinion of yourself. That you deserve your own love.

3. Don't Let Others Determine How You Feel.
Mean people suck. But they exist because without them, we wouldn't grow stronger. Some times, we are mean to other people. My point is that we determine how we feel by how others treat us, or how we treat others. That gives them power over us. But if we decided that I'm going to love me no matter what is said or done, then nothing and no one will ever take that from you.

We shape our opinions of ourselves by the events in our lives. We allow them to shape and mold how we see ourselves and each other. The greatest thing that we can do is look at the heart of a person. That way, we will always see the most beautiful part of ourselves.
