Norwich City Face Addicks in FA Cup Third Round Replay

James Kent
Norwich City take a respite from their relegation fight tonight and instead can focus on reaching the fourth round of the cup. It should be a tight game, but both sides will want to get through and hope winning in the cup can help their league form. If Norwich can progress, they will face either Sheffield United or Leyton Orient, either way it will be another away tie. That in itself is not very inspiring, but if the Canaries could get to the fifth round then a Premier League club would surely await and that would be a real money-spinner.

Both sides will have to make changes due to injuries and certain players being unavailable for this third round replay. Antoine Sibierski has returned to parent club Wigan due to injury and will not be seen in a Norwich shirt again. Jonathan Grounds does not have permission to play. Therefore, Glenn Roeder will make a minimum of two changes, but is likely to be a familiar looking Norwich city line-up. Roeder has confirmed that no youngster will be playing from the start, but with seven substitutes to choose from, at least one is likely to make the bench. An outside pick would be Simon Lappin.

I would expect Norwich to line up with the 4-5-1 formation. The back five will be Marshall, Drury, Omozusi, Doherty and Otsemobor. The midfield four will be Bell, Clinghan, Russell and Croft. Finally, it's a front two of Hoolahan and Lupoli.

I expect Norwich to sneak through with a 1-0 win.
