Norwich Face Tough Away Test

James Kent
Norwich city face a difficult away to test this weekend as they look to for back to back away wins. Sheffield Wednesday is not a club that Norwich has the best of records against, but those sorts of records are there to be broken.

Glenn Roeder is likely to be down to the bare bones for Saturday's game. This is especially after sending Jamie Cureton out on loan. The Norwich city manager is also set to be without Ryan Bertrand and Elliot Omozusi, but the good news is Gary Doherty and Darel Russell are back from their suspensions. Roeder has confirmed that two untried youngsters will travel with the party to make up the numbers.

After their second half resurgence Norwich, is expected to line up will a 4-5-1 formation again with Leroy Lita playing the lone striker role. The five-man midfield, is likely to be unchanged, despite Russell being fit again. It's almost certain after another poor performance that Sibierski will at best be on the bench. The substitutes bench is likely to contain Stuart Nelson, Sibierski, Lupoli, Russell and possibly Fotheringham.

Due to Glenn Roeder's current problems in defence, Gary Doherty is set to go straight back in with Adam Drury reverting to left back. Really due to the current selection problems this team picks itself.

It's funny to think that for a team who has struggled for goals this season, that a five-man midfield, would make them more dangerous, but for Norwich city this appears to be the case. Then again, this is no ordinary 4-5-1 because it is more about scoring goals than stopping goals. In Bell, Croft and Hoolahan there are three players who have freedom to go forward and attack.

My prediction for this game on Saturday is if Norwich can show the same sort of resolve they did last week in Nottingham they will return to Norfolk with a point at very least.
