However, the price for the same items had increased to MYR 2100 & he will have to pay for the items first. Jimmy probably was charging me an extra MYR 100 ($31.25) for his troubles. After thinking about it, I was reluctant at first with the deal but considering that he was going to travel all the way from PJ to meet me at Ampang Point, heck I could even ask him to send it straight to my home; so I said to him 'No, Problem' & he will give me a call when he is in Ampang.
About ten minutes have gone by & Jimmy called to my cell phone again. He mentioned that he found a retailer for me in Low Yat that shall sell to me 1 kit lens Olympus e-420 package for MYR 2000 ($625). So, I left Ampang point immediately & drove to Low Yat Plaza in Kuala Lumpur. After about 30 minutes drive including traffic jam, parking, & walking; I arrived to Low Yat Plaza. Traffic jam & parking is the main reason why I am reluctant to travel into the part of Kuala Lumpur.
I was informed that the ENATA & Fotokem camera shop in Low Yat is under the same owner. I asked 'Why they did not just make on big shop?' The sales attendant said that there were not enough side by side shop lots available for them at the location. My experience at the ENATA camera shop was good. The sales attendant was helpful & showed me how to work the basics of the Olympus e-420.
Also, I received a free 3" LCD protector a member card from ENATA Digital Low Yat Plaza so I can make photo prints for a 20% discount. Those of you who are interested in purchasing an Olympus E-420 Twin Kit Lens package at the best price (about MYR 100 plus less than the competition) to date may want to instead head over to Boeing Photo Shop, Sungei Wang, Kuala Lumpur.
Some folks over at PhotoMalaysia.com reckon that Boeing is the main Olympus dealer so they can sell that lower than other shops. Hence, you may want to add Boeing Photo Shop in Sungei Wang into your survey list for buying Olympus camera products. I will definitely add Boeing Photo Shop in Sungei Wang to my survey list for my future Olympus product purchases!
The price is as below (sourced about 2 weeks ago 11th June 2008):
Boeing Photo Shop, Sungei Wang
E-420 Twin Kit Lens for RM2299
MYR 2299 ($718): body, 14-42mmm, 40-150mm, CF 2gb, typical tripod, Evolt original bag, LCD protector, 2 funny brand (KEEP) uv filters

Post a CommentComputer shop in KL? That's easy. Plaza Low Yat is where many people go to find the best computer deals in KL. It is located near the Berjaya Mall & behind Sungai Wang Plaza. Mind you, the building is not on the main street. Happy Shopping!
I find this page is difficulty to deal with not just only this page but any thing you log in you find that you can't find the clear answer. Why why why? I am looking for a computer shop in KL but there is not one answers is clear. So why you even put on the web your address and then no phone number to contact. Please, make it clear so we can enjoy you shoping better.
