My sister needed a reminder of appointments and things but she never would write things down on her purse calender or house calender she would write on a piece of paper and it got lost.

For her I made little pot sticks I call them here is what you do.

LITTLE POT STICKS

You need
Pop cycle sticks
2 little flower pots small
or two soup cans painted with a design
thats it

the purpose of this is she always sits at her kitchen table while on the phone , by the window
she put the two little pots on her table like flower pots would be.
one pot holds all the sticks enough for a month each week day is a different color Monday was pink, Tuesday was yellow, Wednesday was lite blue Thursday was red, and Friday was orange.weekends are painted white.

Every time she gets an appointment or a date to do something she will pull a stick out for the color of the day the appointment is for and write on it, place and time with date. she then tosses it into the empty pot. You can also put the color chart on the pot so you know what day is what color and toss in a fine point black marker. This totally worked for her and she loves it. You can get a box of Popsicle sticks from craft store with over 1000 for like 3 bucks. paint them all up rubber band them and give as a different kind of gift for that forgetful person. Ha ha.

OLD CD SUN CATCHERS FOR GARDEN OR PORCH

everyone has old CD laying around or ones that didn't take when burning a CD off your computer, Put the to some beauty, What I did was take 4 Cd's super glues them together two per CD I glued the printed sides together. Took a small nail or a safety pin and heated it and burned a small hole through the top of the Cd's for a hanging hole. I got a bit more creative and too some thin wire I beaded the wire with beautiful beads glass beads, then ran the wire through the big hole of the Cd's and wrapped around the Cd's in and out four times so you will have four sections of beads covering the Cd's it will look like pie slices, in the center of the Cd's I went and bought some painted wooden sunflowers from a craft store about .49 cents each. Then I took fishing line to make my hanger, there ya go hang it up and enjoy. you are good to go. Be creative once you start you will get ideas left and right.
