Tips to Help Overcome Your Loss from Abortion

N/A
A lot of women have different ways of coping with their abortion. Some decide to shrug it off and act as if nothing had ever happened. Others use "tools" to help them remember and cope with their loss.

In our society, unfortunately, abortion is a "no-no" word. And because of this women who have had an abortion are unable to receive the support they need and deserve. We are pushed under the carpet and expected not to come out and say "HEY I NEED HELP!" For whatever reason we carry as to why we had an abortion, that is our reason. It was our decision. Leave it at that. The point is, we lost something more important to us than anything and we need the support and kindness to heal.

Here are some ideas and tips to remember your angel and cope with the reality of abortion.

- Make a scrapbook - Paste ultrasound pictures, write poems, short stories, or songs that remind you of your angel.

- Register to abortion support forums - There are not many websites that offer support, but the ones that are out there are wonderful. Share your story with other women who are going through the same loss as you.

- Purchase my abortion journal - When I first came up with the idea to make a journal, I didn't think it would be possible to make. How could I help a person I don't even know, get through the hardest time in their life? How can I turn such a negative outcome into a better one? How can I help these women realize that they are not alone? My journal has real-life stories of women of all ages who have had an abortion. It contains questions that you get to answer right in the book! For more information, please visit this link, http://www.lulu.com/content/1944072

- Get a tattoo - Think of an animal or symbol that reminds you of your baby. Get it tattooed so when you look at it, only you will know what it means.

- Create a web page - Create a Myspace, Facebook, etc. page in remembrance to your angel.

There are so many ways to remember your baby. Please feel free to share your ideas in the comments section!
