Top 5 Ways to Find a Spa Bargain

Are you already stressed out by this holiday season, even though it hasn't even started yet? If you answered yes then keep reading to find out the top 5 ways you can find a fantastic deal on Spa treatments near you. It is just what you need to recharge and reenergize for the upcoming holiday season.

1. The number one best way to get the most from you money at the spa is to PLAN AHEAD! You will be amazed at the bargains you will find if you put some time into it. Remember that most Spas are closed on Sunday and Monday. Saturday is their busiest day. If you wait till the last minute to book your visit they might not have everything available. For example, they can squeeze you in for a manicure but not a massage. Call and book ahead of time, and try to visit the spa on a weekday. Weekdays are less crowded; you will get better service and have a more relaxing time- no rushed feeling.

2. Find out if the Spa of your choice offers packages of treatments, or if they offer a discount if you purchase more than one treatment in advance. Most Spas have advertised packages, and the packages can be a great deal. Some offer up to 50% off selected treatments when you purchase more than one at a time. Additionally, find out if the Spa has a friend's discount. Bring a friend with you, or two, or three. Almost every Spa offer specials for spouses or friends!

3. Check the internet for coupons and advertisements. It only takes a few minutes to search the Spa's in your local area, and often they offer great discounts online. There are sites like Spa Index that let you search Spa's by state looking for coupons and discounts. Check them out at http://www.spaflyer.com/2009/10/spa-flyer-coupons.html

4. Don't be timid when it comes to asking. The asking should sound something like this: "I would really love to come to your spa, and have heard wonderful things about you, and its really much more convenient to where I live, however, I am now booked into ABC spa for next Tuesday, who is offering me a mini-facial, hour long massage, mini-manicure, and pedicure for less than you are charging for the massage and facial. If you think you can match that, I'd prefer to come to you." If you haven't done your research, this approach will not work well. It also helps to say it with a great deal of charm.

5. And finally, the ultimate Spa discount. Check around locally for a School of Massage Therapy or a School of Cosmetology. Schools of Massage Therapy or of Cosmetology often offer discounted treatments performed by the graduating students. I found a School of Massage Therapy near my home that offers massages for only $25 an hour! Schools of Cosmetology in my area offer haircuts and styles for as little as $10 to $15. Each time I have visited this school there have been instructors with the students to ensure they did not make any kind of mistake on my hair. I have always left feeling satisfied and quite happy with my savings!
