03/11/09 Episode of American Idol

Terri
I was surprised with the outcome of American Idol's results show on Wednesday night. I never imagined that Jasmine Murray would be sent home. I don't necessarily think she was the best, but I definitely thought she performed better than a few of the other finalists. I certainly hope she continues to sing because she could have a very successful future in the music industry. She's so good at such a young age and will only get better.

On the other hand, I was not at all surprised that Jorge Nunez was sent home. He can sing, but I just thought he had a bad song choice for his voice. He's definitely got a unique voice, but I think that might have made it a little more difficult for him when it came to song choice.

I was surprised that Alexis Grace made it another week. I did not think that her performance last night was worthy of another week. I guess I just don't like her style of performance. Apparently, many Americans do.

The most surprising thing of the night was the announcement of the new rule for the season. The judges can actually save one person this season if someone gets voted and the judges really believe he/she deserves another chance. Too bad this rule wasn't in effect in previous seasons.

In my opinion, the best part of the show was Kelly Clarkson's performance of "My Life Would Suck Without You." Kelly is such a talented performer. All of the Idol hopefuls should be inspired by her performance and the success she has had since she won the first season of the show.

Overall, the show was good. I look forward to seeing next weeks performances.

I wish I would have seen this episode - maybe next week! Good review.
