I have been the "memory girl" in my group of friends for as long as I can remember.I was the one who was always there with a camera or video recorder to capture the

moments. I love that a photograph is a window to the past, and that it allows

something to keep on existing, even after it's gone.

As a creative and imaginative thinker, art has always been a huge part of my life

in many forms including music and painting. I decided to pursue photography after

first trying to become a rockstar, (no kidding), and realizing it wasn't my life's calling.

I believe that photography is. I love to photograph people. They are always different,

and changing, and I love that. People are so funny. Most say that they hate being

photographed, but when you get them in front of the camera for long enough,

they usually really start to enjoy it.

I love meeting new people and hearing their stories about what has brought them

to the places in life that they are at. And I love love. Here are some other

things that I love: road trips, camping, croquet, dancing, large bodies of water, lobsters,

flannels, champagne, accordions, the color yellow, midnight drives, adventures --

Now the credentials:

I received my BFA in photography from The California College of the Arts in 2009.

During my education, I held internships in the Art department at San Francisco magazine,

and at Blackwell Files casting agency. I also assisted some of the top photographers

in the Bay area on fashion and lifestyle shoots. Since then, I have been working in the

Portland area, and also Portland Oregon Photography at TerraRothman.com
