10 Anthony Hopkins Movies that Flopped at the Box Office

Joe Dorish
Anthony Hopkins is one of the most acclaimed actors in Hollywood but he has been in many movies that did not earn back their production budgets.

Hopkins won the Academy Award for Best Actor playing Dr. Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lambs. All three movies in which Anthony Hopkins plays Dr. Hannibal Lecter were big box office hits and made many millions of dollars.

Anthony Hopkins has won many other awards in his outstanding acting career. But he has been in many many movies that did not do well at the box office.

Overall he has been in 46 movies including the newly released The Rite. The Rite is a thriller but just having Anthony Hopkins in a movie is no guarantee whatsoever that the film will make money.

The last movie that Hopkins starred that made money was the 2007 Fracture. Since then all his movies have flopped at the box office and not made back their production budgets.
