10 Use for Baking Soda in Your Daily Beauty Routine

All those products lined up on your bathroom counter, taking up space, can be replaced with just one product. Well, they almost can. Baking soda can replace many of the products you use in your everyday beauty routine. Even if you have products you don't want to replace, I have found that baking soda is great in a pinch or when funds are low.

Dry shampoo - Do you remember the dry shampoos they use to sell? They work to get the oil and build up out and freshen your hair in between washes. Baking soda can work the same way. Sprinkle some baking soda on your hair, focusing on the roots, and brush, then fluff.

Toothpaste - Dip your brush in baking soda and brush with straight baking soda or if you have sensitive teeth and gums add some coconut oil and make a paste.

Mouthwash - Add about a teaspoon of baking soda to a glass half full of water then swish around the mouth. This helps neutralize the odors in your mouth.

Deodorant - Water down some baking soda, just enough to make it liquid to not clog a sprayer. Spray the baking soda solution under your armpits or where ever else you have problems with sweating and odor. You can also apply baking soda directly to the arm pit by rubbing it in

Wet shampoo - Make baking soda into a paste by adding a little water. Work into scalp and rinse as you would normal shampoo.

Nail cleaner - Sprinkle some baking soda onto your nail brush and use it to clean your nails and soften cuticles.

Soothing bath - Add ½ cup of baking soda to a bath full of water. Then, lay back and relax.

Foot bath - Relax your tired feet by putting them in a relaxing foot bath. Add a few tablespoons of baking soda to a food bath or large bowl.

Facial wash - Make baking soda into a paste. Apply to you face, gently massage around your face and rinse off.

Chlorine hair - Mix a pint of water and a heaping ½ teaspoon of baking soda together. Rinse your chlorinated pool hair with the solution and rinse. It should also remove the green color that blondes get.
