More and more sports persons, celebrities and business people are taking up meditation practice and enjoying the benefits. More and more companies are encouraging their employees to take up meditation and are also providing them assistance and help to join meditation courses. All this points to the undeniable fact that meditation is highly beneficial to all human beings irrespective of who they are and what they do. Let us take a look at the benefits of this universal panacea called meditation.

1. Stress has become an integral part of modern living. Doctors are increasing recommending meditation to combat stress and anxiety. Researchers have found that meditation reduces the incidence of anxiety attacks by lowering the blood lactate levels. Therefore meditation is a very effective practical tool for combating anxiety and stress. Lowering of the levels of serotonin has been found to be responsible depression, insomnia and headaches. Meditation has been found to increase the levels of serotonin in our body thereby improving our behavior and moods.
