Most beer lovers agree - you don't have to live in one of the world's well-known beer capitals to enjoy a high quality brew. People all over the world enjoy sipping a cold one whether it's brewed locally or imported. As long as a favorite beer drinking spot offers common choices as well as unique hard-to-find options, beer drinkers will flock there to have a good time. Add an intimate atmosphere, good music, and friendly people and the beer spot takes the entire experience up a notch. Multiply that one place by ten or more, and a single location to drink beer becomes an entire city for enjoying beer.

Although it's possible to indulge anywhere, this list of the 10 best cities for beer drinking offers visitors that little something extra.

Anchorage, Alaska

If a pub crawl featuring top-of-the-line food in addition to the handcrafted beers sounds appealing, Anchorage is the spot for you. Nothing compares to drinking beer outdoors while gazing at the beautiful skyline and well-kept gardens. Most beer gardens have barbeques and other events ideal for drinking beer while enjoying the outdoors.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

As if hosting one of the biggest beer events in the country, Beer Week, isn't enough of a reason to land it on the list of the 10 best cities for beer drinking, Philadelphia offers an extremely wide selection of beers. From the oldest brewery in America, Yuengling, to handcrafted microbrews such as Yard's, this city has much to offer the beer lover. It's hard to find a lot of safe places to drink in Kingston, must admit the choice of Heineken or Red Stripe was a bit limiting when I was there. Outside of London there are some wonderful pubs with beer gardens that back onto the canals. If you can find one where there are locks on the canals it's great, sitting back watching the narrow boats go up and down the canals.

I don't drink alcohol other than taking a sip and going "ewww" or "yuck." As for your guesses to Teaser Tuesday, nope, neither.
