10 of the Best Liberal Political Blogs

Rosa Hayes
Blogs can be blogs when it comes to different things but when it comes to being a liberal political blog they are very much different. Liberal political blogs talk about different things in the presidential race but one thing that they all have in common is that they can definitely steer up a conversation or argument on some occasions.

With all the controversy surrounding the presidential race and the campaigns from both sides of the party I couldn't up but take the time to put together some of the best liberal political blogs.

Daily Kos isn't your average liberal political blog, it is a blog set out by many who not only show you the funny side of being liberal but they also show you some of the newsworthy items that you don't want to miss. The readers on this blog aren't afraid to hold anything back and there isn't much telling who will end up laughing, crying, or saying that they will never come back just to come back the next day. This blog is a great read.

Shakesville is for those who enjoy reading up on liberal blogs but still want the quirkiness that should come with it. I liked this blog since it really put its feet on the ground and showed everyone that you can still talk politics with a smile on your face.

Huffington Post has went full fledge in talking about the presidential race and they have so much insight and details on things that are in the news that it is no wonder so many continue to read this blog. The Huffington Post was originally a blog but now they have branched out and become a great news source for most of us and especially for those who are trying to keep track of politics.

Crooks and Liars is a well known blog that mostly stands up for the democratic side of things. I am a democrat although I don't know which way I will be going this year if I even vote at all but this blog does give me a lot to think about when it comes to McCain and Obama.

The 28th Amendment is a great blog for those who want to cut this presidential election a part and see what the downfalls and up rises of both political parties are. There are many photos that you will probably enjoy on this liberal blog. Some of the photos on the blog are funny and others are media photos.

Too Serious a Matter is a blog that everyone interested in the presidential election should read. This blog is funny and yet basis a lot of what it says around the truth and what many Americans have said.

Lionboi is a great blog written by a woman who is lesbian and proud of it but also one of the funniest people that have blogged a blog that I have read and actually liked. This blog uses photos to capture the true feelings of the blogger and many readers. If you are interested in viewing blogs with a hilarious kick to it then you should read this one.

American's Debate gives you a liberals perspective on what is going on in this presidential race. There isn't any humor on this blog from what I could see but just pure opinion on what one person thinks about what is going on in the political side of things.

Just to the Left gives you opinion as well as fact on the happenings with the political madness that has been happening surrounding the presidential race. This liberal blog is a great read for those who love a good rant.

Reality Based Nation gives you a mixed on different views from the side of the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. This blog is a bit bias but it is still a good read and I enjoyed it for things that are hot in the news with the presidential race.

I'm an independent, Rosa, and I don't see how any self-respecting Democrat could vote for McCain and Palin. Not with McCain's voting record and Palin's lying and per diem dishonesty. The disingenuousness I don't mind and call it politics as usual. But the outright lies disgust me to no end. What happened to McCain's honorable campaign? He ditched it when he hired Tucker Eskew. But, hey, that's just my opinion.
