10-Run's House
2005-Present
I promised myself I would NOT choose a reality show for this countdown but I had to! I picked this one because it is the most real one out there. Rev Run and Jus capture my soul and mind and heart on each episode! They are the perfect example of what parents should be. They have great spiritual and moral values that they have clearly instilled in their children. Vanessa the eldest is an actress/model entrepreneur. Angela is the second eldest who is also an entrepreneur who owns a sneaker line(Pastry) with sis Vanessa
JoJo the eldest son is an aspiring rapper/producer. Diggy the second eldest son who is starting his own clothing line(Space Age). Russy the youngest son enjoys plying guitar) Miley is the youngest girl who was adopted in 2007.
I would also like to add the Simmon's had a tragedy and aired it on their show in 2006 when their baby girl was born and delivered and passed away. My heart went out to them.
This family is inspirational and captivating. They are all humorous smart and entertaining. I also lve how Rev ends each show with an inspiring quote!
9-My Wife And Kids
(2001-2005)
8-The Soup
(2004-Present)
6- Everybody Loves Raymond
(1996-2005)
A CBS comedy series revolving around Raymond (Ray Romano) who is a sportswriter. He's married to Deborah(Patricia Heaton)a stay at home mother to 3 kids. Rays family lives across the street which is very unlucky for Deborah! Ray's mom Marie (Doris Roberts) is always taking sides with Ray and pretty much tortures Deborah! Frank (Peter Boyle) Ray's dad is pretty much sarcastic and old school towards woman! Robert (Brad Garret) Ray's brother is a NYC police officer. All I have to say is poor Robert! He is clearly neglected by his mother and jealous of all the attention Ray receives. But he still cares for his younger sibling. Such a relatable sitcom and that's why its on my list You must see the episode entitled
5- King Of Queens
(1998-2007)
A CBS comedy series. Doug(Kevin James) and Carrie(Leah Remini) Heffernan a married couple who reside in Queens, New York. Carrie's quirky dad Arthur (Jerry Stiller) lives in their basement! Doug is a cute chubby UPS driver. Who has a love relationship with food! Carrie a secretary in Manhattan. She is one tough cookie and who strives to make their relationship better but sometimes fails by having high expectations. The relationship is not the most perfect but is very real and relatable. The show revolves around there differences and bickering ways! I mean who cant relate to that? Don't get me wrong even though there's squabbling you can still feel their love shine through. One of my favorite Episodes(Dog Shelter) is when Doug finds out his childhood dog that' s supposedly still alive after 20 some odd years has really been replaced 3 times! Wow!
4-DesperateHousewives
(2004-Present)
A ABC comedy/drama series about a slew of woman who reside on Wisteria Lane who's stories are told by their deceases friend Mary Alice)whom by the way committed suicide. Susan (Teri Hatcher), Lynette(Felicity Huffman), Gabrielle(Eva Longoria), and Bree (Marcia Cross) are all beautiful in there own right. Some might assume this might be reminiscent of Sex and the City but not quite. Susan hasn't been the luckiest in love but still finds hope in finding the right man. Gabrielle is an ex-model who is materialistic, superficial and unhappily married. Lynette former career oriented now stay at home mom. Bree is looks and appears to have the perfect life but is probably the most dram filled character of all. This show will keep you guessing. It will have you hooked! Scandal, scandal, scandalous!!!!!!
A favorite episode of mine is the season 5 kick off entitled "You're Gonna Love Tomorrow"
3-The Sopranos
(1999-2007)
An HBO drama series about an Italian-American organized crime family. Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini) is the head of the family who seeks therapy from Dr. Melfi (Lorraine Bracco)due to depression and panic attacks. He is married to Carmella (Edie Falco) their relationship is very similar to typical mobster movies. Tony cheats, doesn't come home, has a hot temper but provides for his family. They have 2 children Meadow(Jamie-Lynn Sigler) and A.J. (Robert Iler) A few of my favorite characters include Christopher(Michael Imperioli)( cousin) and Pauly Walnuts (Tony Sirico member of Tony's crime family) The rest of Tony's crew consists of stereotypical paison's . Lots of violence, sex, rats, Italian stereotypes. A must see. My favorite episode is when Pauly and Chrissy get stuck out in the woods and have nothing to eat but some packets f ketchup. A must see in my book
2-Friends
(1994-2004)
An NBC comedy about 6 friends living and working in NYC. Joey(Matt Leblanc) a hottie, not so brainy actor. He finally gets a breaking role on Days of Our Lives. Monica(Courtney Cox Arquette) a neurotic chef extraordinaire who's best Friends with Rachel since H.S. She's the sister of Ross, winds up marrying friend Chandler. Chandler(Matthew Perry) a sarcastic funny man who was originally roommates and best buds with Joey. He winds up marrying Monica. Phoebe(Lisa Kudrow) a hippie/ dingbat who is also a musician without a key. Her song "Smelly Cat" is a fan favorite, Ross(David Schwimmer) a romantic fool. He has been married 3 times. He and Rachel have an on again off again relationship and eventually have a child together, Rachel(Jennifer Aniston) is a sweet, independent lady. She started as a waitress and worked her way up to working for Ralph Lauren. She is also the mother of Ross's daughter Emma.
Some of My Favorite Episodes include:
"The One Were Ross Finds Out": A drunken Rachel leaves Ross a message on his answering machine revealing her feeling for him. The episode ends with their Emmy Award winning kiss. Woo Hoo!
"The One When Ross and Rachel are on a break": Ross and Rachel take a break and he winds up sleeping with another woman. Oh No!
"The One in Vegas" Ross and Rachel get drunk and wind up getting hitched! So hilarious!!!!
1- Sex and the City
(1998-2004)
An HBO series about 4 independent woman living in the Big Apple and their relationship encounters.
Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) a career oriented harsh realist. Samantha (Kim Cattrall) the promiscuous, sexy vixen. Charlotte (Kristin Davis) the hopeless romantic, optimist. The infamous Mr. Big(Chris Noth) who's afraid to commit. And of course Carrie (Sarah Jessica-Parker) who is fashionably outrageous also a relationship writer
I feel like I am best buds with all of these characters. What woman doesn't have a piece of each one of these ladies within themselves or part of their lives? What man hasn't dated a woman similar to at least one? In fact I think I've experienced almost all of the episodes in real life! I am a Native New York girl and believe me these stories were not pulled out of thin air! The torrid love affair for years between Big and Carrie is like being on an emotional rollercoaster! It makes you have hope! Give up on love! Despise relationships! But in the end love rules!
It's hard to pick a favorite episode. So I'll have to name a few........
"The Post it always sticks twice"( what a mortal) Burger (a jerk in my book) breaks up with Carrie on a Post it!!!!!! I've had some bad break ups but this one tops the cake!
"Ex and the City" Carrie finds out Big's engaged! Wow this one really broke my heart. It hits close to home
"An American Girl in Paris Part Une and Deux" Carrie and Big finally get together in a romantic finale!!!!!

Post a CommentLOST!!??
This post should be renamed - "10 Best TV Shows (of the Decade 2000-2010) for Moms"
These are not the 10 best tv shows of last decade... Friends deserves it but thats if you count the reruns as part of the decade, otherwise it shouldn't be counted.
I see you love drama, comedy and romance. If you haven't seen Lost yet, i advice you watch it asap. Lost has it all, plus an awesome story circling around 48 survivors and two parallel universes.
And again, not happy with the list, but i don't think you're retarded... just that you're a woman. I am not being sexist. Im sure you understand. Peace.
I honestly think you are retarded..........runs house? wtf!!!!!.........where is 30 rock, entourage, the wire, the office, curb your entusiasm, family guy, arrested development!!!!!!?????????????
