10 Best Ways to Enjoy Your Tax Refund This Year

Who Wants to Be Responsible when You Can Have Fun?

Amy Weekley
It's that time of year again. A time when people all across the nation are filling out forms and praying for the best. It's tax refund time! Sure, you could spend that money paying off bills, or buying groceries, but how boring is that? Here are some much more interesting ways to spend that free money.

1. Put a down payment on a new car. The car you have now runs just fine, and it gets you to where you need to be - but let's face it, it's just not that "cool." You need a big black SUV with neons and chrome rims. This tax refund will make an excellent down payment. Worry later about how you'll make the monthly payments. Take home this shiny chick magnet today!

2. Better yet, use your tax refund to put a down payment on a motorcycle. For the laid-back, grizzly, I'll-cut-you-if-you-spill-my-beer kind of guy, you'll want a Harley. For the more speed-addicted, danger-loving guy, you'll want a crotch rocket. Either way, your cool factor is going to go up by about 150 points.

3. Buy a Playstation 3. You'll be the envy of all your poor friends who don't have one yet. $700 is a small price to pay for popularity. And if you still have money left over from your tax refund, you can buy a bigger television to go with it.

4. Throw a party. You can have one kick-ass party with all the dough you're going to recoup from the government. Get a couple of kegs, hire a DJ, buy some big sandwiches, and invite the whole city.

5. Install a hot tub in your back yard. That tax refund could get you a pretty decent hot tub, which will be a big hit at that party you're going to throw. Never mind the fact that your house needs a new roof - this hot tub is going to get you some hot action!

6. Get stereo speakers bigger than your couch. If you ever crank it up as loud as these babies can go, your house will shake apart. That's not a bad thing. Again, these will make a fantastic addition to your rockin' party.

7. Buy some bling for yourself. Belt buckles, big necklaces, a new Rolex, a new diamond-studded grill - all fair game. You can get some pretty nice ice with this tax refund.

8. Buy some bling for your girl. She's been there for you through thick and thin. Plus, she's the hottest chick in the neighborhood. You don't want to risk her running off with some other guy who used his tax refund more wisely than you. Spend it all on her, let her know you care. Buy her loyalty with jewelry.

9. Head to the track. This tax refund is free money after all, so you can blow it all at the track with minimal guilt. Just be careful not to lose more than you got back. You'll need to eat later.

10. Enhance your DVD collection. You now have the power to buy every single action movie ever made. Wield that power wisely. You don't want to come home to find that you now have more Chuck Norris movies than you even knew existed. Be selective.
