10 Bible Verses of Encouragement, Strength and Hope in the Book of Psalms

I find that when I am going through a difficult period it helps to share God's Word with others, instead of only focusing on my own problems. We are called to lift up our brothers and sisters even when we are hurting and in the midst of the storm. One of the things that always seem to pick up my spirits is The Book Of Psalms.

In keeping with that frame of mind, today instead of feeling sorry for myself, instead of feeling hopeless, instead of complaining and calling it quits, I write and share this prayerfully to encourage someone else. Remember God is the same today as He was yesterday. When you feel you have no where to turn and no one to go to, God will always be there for you.

Below is a list of Bible Verses of encouragement, strength and hope from The Book of Psalms. All of these Bible Verses from Psalmsare from the New King James Version of the bible. I pray someone out there feeling without hope, someone who feels they can't go on any longer, is encouraged and strengthen by reading these verses. Read these bible verses of encouragement, strength and hope out loud several times a day and stand on the power of God's word.

1. Psalm 23:1-4
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your Rod and Your Staff, they comfort me.

2. Psalm 91:1-2
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust."

3. Psalm 46:1-2
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,

4. Psalm 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?

5. Psalm 27:3,5,13-14
Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident. O LORD, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens!

7. Psalm 28:7
The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.

8. Psalm 55:22
Cast your burden on the LORD, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.

9.Psalm 91: 3-6
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

10.Psalm 121
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip he who watches over you will not slumber;
