Up till Now by William Shatner
This may seem to be a strange entry into this list of book for self improvement but I have found William Shatner's Up Till Now to be a funny and encouraging book. Throughout the book Shatner tells stories about his family, career and adventures. He hardly ever turns down an opportunity. His reason for always taking chances is you do not know what adventure you'll miss out on. Since reading his story I have learned to take chances because you never know what adventure or opportunities will come from putting yourself out there.
