10 Celebrities Who Should Write Books

Yeah, That's a Book I Would Read..

J G Hodnette
Sometimes you wish you had something to read that was written by someone very famous. It often seems like the people who are the most famous are also the most interesting. Here are ten celebrities, living and dead, and some books that they could write or could have written.

1. Jack the Ripper

Well he somehow has made his way into the imagination of millions of people around the world after his horrible murders in Great Britain in the late 19th century, and frankly it's a disappointing ending. Jack was never caught and it is the mystery of whether or not he escaped and who he really was that keeps people so interested. If he had been able to write a book, it would definitely be a tell-all adventure into his mad mind. Think a British Hannibal with a pen. That's good reading.

2. Walt Disney

Disney's efforts have resulted in an enormous empire of entertainment for teens and children alike. Plenty of books have traveled into the mind of Walt Disney, but a book written by the genius would be an instant classic. He could create a comic style book using his drawing skills or a more adult psychological journey into the dirty side of the cartoon industry. With its dated feel, the book would be a classic even today.

3. Tina Fey

After her success skyrocket attributed to her Sarah Palin impersonation on Saturday Night Live, Tina Fey has become a beloved figure to Americans. A book written by her would capture the humor that has been seen in her previous writing, particularly the film Mean Girls which was based on Fey's own High School experience. A lot of people are interested in what Tina Fey has to say, so she would make a great book.

4. Morgan Freeman

Anything written by this man would be an instant hit and as a bonus he could do his own reading better than anyone else alive. Mr. Freeman is beloved by everyone around the world. I would expect his book to be deep and moving, possibly about his life, but it could also possibly be fiction.

5. Dave Chapelle

After deciding to quit the celebrity life and seek a life of peace, Dave Chapelle has slipped out of the public eye. Nothing would be more exciting, however, than a tell-all book out of no where from the beloved comedian. Dave Chapelle could tell about his breakdown from stress or about his rise to fame in the first place. His show was one of the most popular on Comedy Central and is still enjoyed even today.

6. Johnny Depp

This world famous actor has always lived an interesting life. His dedication to his roles makes one wonder what kind of person he really is. A book about his life written by him would be extremely interesting to read. His close association with Tim Burton would also add to the intrigue of his story. What has taken him from being a young actor to one of the most well known names in the world?

7. Scarlett Johansson

Considered one of the most beautiful and talented women in the world, Scarlett Johnansson would no doubt make a very interesting book. Her interest in great stories makes me suspect that she could be skilled at fiction writing, though most people will probably be more interested in a tell-all book about her life as an actress and model.

8. George Clooney

Currently considered one of the most handsome actors of our age, George Clooney has been a huge number of films throughout his career. A book about his life and his ambition would not only be interesting, but also inspiring to everyone who reads it.

9. Miley Cyrus

She has become a princess of pop and a book written by her would go a long way as far as sales. What do we want to know from Miley? What is it like being a young girl who has so much pressure and popularity? Miley Cyrus could really give us a good idea of what it is like to be a child actor/performer; something that has always been questioned. Is it damaging to development to become so famous? She could tell us.

10. Mike Myers

After his success as the voice of Shrek and Austen Powers, Mike Myers seems like the kind of man who could write a very entertaining book. It wouldn't be about his life, though. A man as creative as Myers could write some really funny and clever content for his book. What it would be about would be a surprise, as always with Myers, but it would have the bathroom humor that he is famous for and some fun accents.
