10 Cool Ways You Can Make Extra Money

Every morning on the news all we seem to hear at the moment is news about the recession that we are currently heading into. It got me thinking about some extra ways to make money as it is always nice to have a bit extra to put into a savings account in case of emergencies!

1) Ebay.

Ebay is a great way of selling your old and unwanted stuff. It is free to sign up for a basic account and the paypal account is also free to create. Although Ebay is very commercial know and your unwanted items may make less than they would have when Ebay first started a couple of pounds here and there is better than having unwanted items cluttering your house. Go on give it a go!

2) Car boot/garage Sales

Car boot and garage sales are another good way to make extra cash from your unwanted items. However car boot sales tend to be early in the morning and it gets chilly on cold days! You will also likely get swamped by people picking things up while you are still unloading and that can be frustrating. A garage sale is easier as long as you clearly separate what is for sale and what is not!

3) Auctions

Why not check the attic for any old loot that could be more valuable than you think? Auctions can make good money on valuable items and collectors pieces but just remember the auction house takes a percentage fee.

4) Game magpie & Music magpie

Game magpie and music magpie.com or websites where you can sell old cd's and games by typing in the bar code and they value it and make an offer. This is a good alternative to ebay as second hand cd's do not make much.

5) Slice of the pie.

Slice of the pie.com is a site for music fans whee you get paid to listen to and review artists and bands.

6) Surveys

are another way to make some extra cash but do your research and avoid the scams. They should pay you. Avoid any that want upfront joining fee's as these are most likely scams.

7) Odd jobs.

Why not offer your services in your local village or town. You could cut grass, paint and do general D.I.Y if you have skills to offer.

8) Rent out that spare room.

Why not rent out that spare room and make some extra money without lifting a finger. This could dramatically increase your monthly income.

9) Rent out your drive way.

If you live in the city and do not have a car yet have a parking space, why not rent it out? People will pay good money to park their cars in a guaranteed space.

10) Dog Walking.

If you like the great outdoors and are fond of mans best friend then why not offer your services as a dog walker for an hourly rate. Many busy people and elderly people have dogs that they cannot walk due to lack of time or are unable to physically.Many would be happy to pay you to do it on their behalf.
