10 Creative Games for an Easter Party

Felicity
Easter is a great time to get the family together for great food and games. Here is a list of ten creative games for an Easter party. While most of these games are intended for outdoor use, most can be adapted to indoors for a rainy or cold day.

1. Easter Egg Hunt: The Easter egg hunt is probably the most traditional of the games listed. It is simply a game of hide and seek with Easter eggs. You can separate the kids into "heats" by sorting them by ages. The kids can even hide the Easter eggs for the adults to have a turn.

2. Egg Toss: The egg toss game is just that, an egg toss. You can use hard-boiled or raw eggs, and pair up in teams of two or more. Once someone in your team drops an egg, your out.

3. Three Legged Race: This game can be quite the challenge, you tie the opposing legs of two people with a bandana or string, then it's a race to the finish line. The team that crosses the finish line first wins!

4. Potato Sack Hop: The Potato Sack Hop can be lots of fun! You can use the potato sacks or pastel colored pillowcases would work as well. The person that crosses the finish line first wins this game as well.

5. Egg Race: With this game you will need an egg and a spoon. You simply take the egg place it on the spoon and race to the finish line. If your egg falls from the spoon then you must go back to the start line and start the race over.

6. Egg Roll: This game can be played two ways. The first is to mark out areas on a table with a dart board style set of rings. Each person rolls the egg from the start line to the set of rings. You collect points based on which ring you egg lands in. You can also play this game by placing other eggs on a table, then let each person roll an egg, who ever gets closest to the eggs without touching them wins.

7. Pass The Egg: There are a couple variations on this game. You can use your neck or your feet to pass the egg to the next person in line. The first line to complete the task wins.

8. Guess The Amount Of Jelly Beans: Take a bag of jelly beans, or other candy and place in a jar. Let each person guess how many items are in the jar.

9. Pin The Tail On The Easter Bunny: This one is a great twist on the birthday party favorite Pin the Tail on the Donkey. So if you have played that game this will be nothing new. Place a blind fold and take turns trying to pin the tail on the Easter Bunny.

10. Decorating Eggs: Take hard boiled eggs and let each person decorate several eggs. You can use dyes that come in kits from the store or you can make your own.

If possible it's a wonderful idea to have small prizes for the winners of the games, just make sure that none of the little kids go home empty handed. A small gift card to a grocery store or restaurant would be a great idea for the adult egg hunt.
