10 Creative Halloween Costume Ideas

Now, I know there are hundreds of articles out there for costume ideas. This is an article on some creative ideas for costumes. I have not personally thought of all of these ideas, some I have either read about in a book or have seen personally.

A Jackson Pollock painting
Take a white sheet and splatter different color paints on it. You could even further and paint your face and hair that same way. You should google Jackson Pollock to see the kind of splatter I am talking about.

A bowl of fruit
You could be like Maggy in Mistral's Daughter and have someone paint fruit on you naked. If you are not so bold, you wear a neutral bodysuit and have someone paint over that.

IPod Commercial
You could dress all in black. If you are race other that African-american, you could even paint your face black and wear a black wig. Carry around an Ipod. You could also dance around for effect. It works even better if you have a partner dresses the same.

Static Cling
You could pin a pair of mismatched socks and a dryer sheet to your clothes. If you are a man, you could pin a pair of boxers as well. If you are a woman, you could pin part of your skirt together.

Bounty Hunter
Dress like a hunter. Maybe a vest with lots of pockets, camouflage hat, rubber boots, binoculars, fake rifle, etc. Then, carry a clear plastic bag filled with rolls of Bounty brand paper towels.

Split Personality
Cut two outfits in half and sew them together. On one side wear a polo shirt, khaki pants, sweater set, conservative hair, etc. On the other half, go goth: all black clothes, heavy make-up, fake tattoos, fake piercings, etc.

Karen from Will and Grace
Wear a business suit with a fun blouse underneath (stuff bra as needed), and a tight skirt. Wear extra-high heels. Wear your hair pulled back on head in a ponytail/bun. Carry a martini glass painted so that it looks half full, and some old prescription drug bottles filled with different colored tic-tacs.

Bag Lady
You could dress up in a skirt and high heels and attach paper and plastic bags to your clothes.

Booty Call
Attach an old cell phone or make a cardboard cell phone and attach it to your booty.

13 going on 30
Wear some clothing that a 13-year-old would wear, and also get a business suit. Take both and cut them in half and sew the sides together. Wear pigtails and barrettes in the "13" side, and wear make-up, earrings and styled hair on the "30" side.
