10 Dead in Afghanistan Attack!

Theresa L.
CNN.com reported the deaths of ten people, two of which were Americans, in Afghanistan. The ten men, believed to the doctors, were executed fifteen days ago.

Police chief of Badakhshan province Aqa Nwor Kentoz said the victims had been stopped along the side of the road. They were then relinquished of their belonging, prior to being shot to death. The victims were not found until Wednesday, after news of the deaths were discovered by a shepherd.

There was one survivor, an Afghan man who was released after he recited parts of the Quran. The Quran, or rather Qur'an as many spell it, is the sacred writings of Islam. In the Islam religion, the writing was revealed by God to Muhammad.

This is a tragic story, and my heart goes out to the victims family. The war in Afghanistan has taken so many lives, yet it appears as if the war is long from over.

There are days we get the joyous news that are brave men and women are coming home. Only to be reminding once again on the terror which is still taking place over seas.

They are many that were against, and many that were for the war. I am not a supporter of the war, and I never have been. I understand why we went to war, and the unity of 9-11 brought to our country. However, Americans had to stuffer dearly in order for the war to take place, and I wonder at times when the war is over if they will someday return the favor to us?

In a way, it is ironic. When we went to war with them, it was the British that stood by our sides. The same country we fought against for our own freedom.

No matter my views, or your views, it is still a tragedy. Each day I remind myself that our men and women are over there, but it not just our fellow countrymen that are suffering. Men, women, and children all have to suffer, and sometimes the price is more than anyone wants to pay.

With this, I will offer a salute, to those brave men and women from American and Afghanistan who are working hard to give this country what we have come to expect from our own - Freedom.

It is very sad that doctors in Afghanistan to save lives then were murdered.

I hope they bring them home soon. Our soldiers have been put through enough. It's time they get to be with their families again for good.
