1. Cuisine of the Decade: Anything International: Asian cusine has been the go to food for the last decade. It seems as if every resturant menu had pot stickers on it.
2. Ingredient of the Decade: Cheese, especially ricotta cheese. I love figs stuffed with ricotta cheese and ricotta cheesecake. In addition, I have made scrambled eggs with ricotta in them.
3. Dish of the Decade: Eggs: Speaking of eggs, they made a big splash over the last decade. This might be due to the fact that there are low cholestrol eggs now. Eggs are a big food trend in my life. I put them in tuna, or salads, and I eat them plain.
4.Meal Trend of The Decade: Breakfast: It is the most important meal of the day, so it making the top ten food trends of the decade. I am a huge fan of eggs and pancakes for breakfast. I also make scones all the time. 5.Destination of the Year: Lima, Peru. This is a great city if you want to experience yummy fusion cuisine.
6. Wine Trend of the Decade: Bargain Wines: Wines for under $20. Elegance with expense;that is my type of food trend.
7. Dessert of the Decade: Peanut Butter: Move over peanut and jelly for peanut butter cheesecake and peanut butter swirl brownies. I just hope these delicious peanut butter desserts don't stick to the roof of my mouth.
8. Dinner Party of the Year: Family Style: This type of dinner party is inexpensive and it allows for family time.
9. Southern Cuisine: Let's eat some crispy country ham and sppon bread.
10. More Smaller Meals. Many people are eating 6 small meals a day, instead of 3 large meals.
Food is an essential part of people lives. There is a social aspect to food because food can bring friends and family together.
