Dress Up like Your Favorite Character

M.S. Beltran
Phantom; Phantom of the Opera
White men's collar shirt
Black slacks
Black dress shoes
Black cape
White half-facial mask
Rose with a black ribbon tied around it

Put on the shirt, pants, shoes, cape, and mask. Carry your rose and every now and then, bellow in a desperate voice, "Christine!" Go to your favorite haunts.

Sweeney Todd; Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
Man's shirt
Vest
Slacks
White lab coat
Red food coloring
Fake Halloween store razors
Black eye liner
White or silver spray-on hair coloring

Sprinkle the white lab coat with red food coloring, particularly the sleeves and the front. Food coloring stains badly, so do this on a lot of newspaper, or outdoors on the lawn, so that you don't get your furniture or rug.Dress in the shirt, vest, slacks, and put on the coat. Muss your hair up. If you like, make white or silver streaks in your hair. Put on eye liner and smear it into the hallows of your eyes. Grab your razor and go get those bleeders. If you really want to freak people out, whip out a little meat pie for a snack.

Victoria (white cat), Cats
White tights
White leotard
White leg warmers
White ballet slippers or shoes
White fingerless gloves
Cat's ears headband
White face paint
Baby power
Black eye liner
Gold eye shadow
Pink lipstick

Put on the tights and leotard. Paint your face with white make-up. Powder over the make up so it is not sticky. Put gold eyeshadow on your eyes and on your cheeks like blush. Put on eye-liner, extending past your eye down toward the bridge of your nose, and up toward the temples, to create "cat's eyes" look. Color the bottom part of your nose (not the tip) with the eyeliner, and draw a line down from the center of your nose to your upper lip. Fill in your upper lip with black liner. Line your lower lip. Fill in with pink lipstick. Draw some freckles on either sides of the line, between your nose and your upper lip. Put on your cat's ears, gloves, leg warmers and ballet slippers and go out on the prowl under the jellical moon.

Elphaba (Wicked Witch of the West); Wicked
Black shirt
Long black skirt
Black boots
Black witch's hat
Green face make-up
Black eye liner
Broom
Large Book

Put on the black skirt, shirt and boots. If you like, for a laugh, wear a black t-shirt with the slogan, "I haven't been the same since that house fell on my sister." Put on the green make up. Line your eyes and your lips with black eye liner. Carry around the broom and the book and go out for a spell.

Eponine; Les Miserables
Peasant shirt
Long skirt (preferably old and worn out, from thrift shop)
Boots
"Newsboy" cap
Raincoat, tan or gray
Scissor

Rat your hair a bit. Use a scissor to cut up and fray the bottom of the skirt. Put on the skirt, blouse, boots, hat- and your rain coat, of course, in case of A Little Fall of Rain. You're on your own.

T-Bird; Grease
Black t-shirt
Leather jacket
Jeans
Black boots
Hair gel

Don your jeans, t-shirt, jacket and boots. Slick your hair back with the gel. You're ready to rumble.

Mark; Rent
Black jeans
Plaid jacket
Striped scarf (preferably blue and white)
Glasses
Video camera

Put on your jeans, jacket, scarf, and glasses and carry the video camera around. Go to a grave yard and sing Halloween.

Any Dancer; Chorus Line
Leotards
Tights
Leg warmers
Jazz, tap or ballet shoes
8X10 photo of yourself
Big bag

Put on your leotard & tights, leg warmers and jazz, ballet or tap shoes. Carry a black and white head shot of yourself, and a big bag like you're going on an audition and you need this job.

Seymour and Audrey II; Little Shop of Horrors
Plain long sleeve shirt
Sweater vest
Slacks
Glasses
Plastic flower pot (cheap thin one)
Fiber fill stuffing
Black scrap fabric
Long green knee sock
Artificial plant leaves
Artificial hand from Halloween store or costume shop
scissors
craft knife
hot glue gun
Rubber bands

Wear the shirt, sweater vest, and slacks. Cut a hole in the inside upper arm of one sleeve (if you're right handed, you'll want to cut the hole in your left sleeve, and vica-versa). Cut a hole into the side of the flower pot big enough for your arm with a craft knife. You should be able to fit your arm through the hole up to your elbow. Put the green sock on the arm that goes through the shirt hole. Tuck the heel part of the sock in between your thumb and four fingers so you can open and close it like a puppet's mouth. Glue some fake leaves on the plant. Put it through the hole in the flower pot. Stuff the remainder of the hanging sleeve with fiber fill so that it looks like a full arm. Slip the fake hand into the end of the sleeve and rubber band it tightly so it stays in. Fold the edge of the sleeve into a little cuff to cover the rubber bands. Attach the fake hand to the bottom of the pot- your real hand will be up through the pot in the plant puppet. Stuff black fabric in the pot around your arm to make it look like dirt. You're suddenly Seymour.

Billy/Dr. Horrible; Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog
Lab coat
Goggles
Giant N'erf gun
Rubber gloves

Put on the lab coat, goggles, and rubber gloves. Grab the N'erf gun (your "freeze ray") and go rule the world.
