2) New York Comedy Club - Expect shock value from the witty performers at this popular funny forum. There seems no room for politeness among the gutsy comedians who share their straightforward and hysterical thoughts on life. Audiences will enjoy an evening of edgy and insightful humor. Chris Rock, notorious for speaking his mind, got his start here. Damon Wayans of In Living Color and Rodney Dangerfield have also entertained these audiences.

241 E 24th St, New York, NY 10010
3) Tom's Restaurant - A popular draw for tourists, this Columbia University-area Greek diner was the model for the diner on Seinfeld (the exterior is shown in the show). And thanks to the success of the show, this typical greasy spoon has managed to garner international acclaim. Good food served hot and amazingly quickly has also kept locals and the area's Columbia University students loyal. Try the milkshakes, breakfast fare, sandwiches, burgers and desserts. Hours of Operation: M-W 6am-1:30am, Th-Sa 24hrs, Su 6am-1:30am
(212) 864-6137
2880 Broadway, New York, NY 10025
4) Blue Note Jazz Club - Jazz clubs in New York City are hotter now than they have been in 30 years, and none is more popular than this standby in Greenwich Village. The club regularly books top musicians like Wynton Marsalis, Herbie Hancock, Dave Brubeck, Keith Jarrett, Tito Puente and Sergio Mendes. Excellent jazz brunch and young talent night also available. The cover charge and minimums vary. Hours of Operation: Sun.-Thu. 6PM-2AM; Fri.-Sat. 6PM-4AM

131 W 3rd St, New York, NY 10012
5) Lombardi's (Pizza) - Magnificent New York brick-oven pizza with fresh toppings makes this cramped, noisy pizza parlor with an overworked staff worth going to. Weather permitting, dining in the backyard garden improves the experience significantly. Some even claim Lombardi's serves the best pizza in the five boroughs. Try it yourself and join one of the oldest debates in New York City. The pizza heaped with fresh chopped clams is certainly a slice to remember. Reservations are not accepted.

6) The Grand - Caviar, shrimp cocktail and smoked salmon are among the appetizers that await you at the Le Jazz Au Bar, one of New York's swankiest night spots, where fine food is just the glaze on the cake of great musical entertainment. Resembling a London West End theatre set, reminiscent of a 19th century men's club, with plush overstuffed sofas and love seats, Au Bar's decor is relaxed and patron comfortable. The atmosphere is conducive for enjoying the usually two shows nightly. Hours of Operation: Tu-Su 6:30pm
