If you are a Disney fan you may have seen these classic movies that many people still love today.
# 10 Pinocchio
Pinocchio appeared in 1940's, and was the second film Walt Disney produced. Pinocchio portrayed the story of a puppet maker, and one of his puppets that come to life. The puppet is then turn alive by a fairy, and goes on a journey to become a real boy. This classic introduces the famous character Pinocchio and also "Jimmy the Cricket".
# 9 Dumbo
Dumbo the Elephant was released in 1941. This is one of my favorite movies because it has a circus theme. This movie is about a young elephant named Dumbo who strives to be part of circus life with the other elephants. Dumbo was born with big ears and is teased for them. As the movie continues Dumbo overcomes different obstacles and learns how to fly.
# 8 Lady and the Tramp
This is also one of my favorite Disney classics because it is a romantic tale that uses two dogs to tell it. Lady and the Tramp released in 1955. This was the 15th movie Disney produced. This movie tells the love story between a Cocker Spaniel dog named Lady who grows up in a loving home, and a homeless mutt name Tramp. They both go on different adventures together and at the end fall in love.
# 7 The Sword in the Stone
The Sword in the Stone was released in 1963. This was the 18th movie Disney produced. This movie incorporated the use of the theme "Magic" and the famous tale of the future King Arthur and the Sword in the Stone. This movie includes the young Arthur and the Wizard Merlin. Merlin and Arthur go on a journey of learning and growing up. At the end Arthur goes on certain life lessons and faces the Sword in the Stone.
# 6 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was the first movie that Walt Disney produced. It was a fairytale that told a story about a young princess, an evil queen, a handsome prince, and seven adorable Dwarfs. This is definitely a classic that brings back a period of innocence.
# 5 Sleeping Beauty
Sleeping Beauty was released in 1959. It has a similar story line to Snow White, but tells a story of a princess, evil Fairy, three good fairies, a prince, a spindle, and kingdom. It has great scenes, and shows a story of innocence and true love.
# 4 Alice in Wonderland
Disneyland released "Alice in Wonderland" in 1951. It was Disney's 13th movie, and tells a story of a young girl Alice who falls into a rabbit hole and goes into a unusual world full of odd characters and a crazy adventure.
# 3 Cinderella
Cinderella was produced in 1950, and also follows a similar story line to "Sleeping Beauty" and "Snow White. In this classic there is an evil step mother, two mean step sisters, a fairy god mother, a prince, Cinderella, and cute mice. This is another classic love story that Disney definitely perfected.
# 2 Bambi
Bambi was produced in 1942 and shows the journey of a young deer named Bambi. Bambi loses his mother at the beginning of the movie, but then becomes friends with a rabbit named "Thumper" and a skunk name "Flower". These three companions find love, and Bambi faces his own obstacles.
# 1 Peter Pan
Peter Pan was released 1953, and is a story about a magical boy named "Peter Pan" who does not want to grow up and a girl name "Wendy" and her two brothers. Peter takes the three children on an adventure to "Never Land" where they encounter pirates, fairies, mermaids, and Indians.
So if you love Disney movies, these 10 classics are must see and have contributed to the magic that Walt Disney wanted.

Post a CommentHow can you make a classic Disney movie list and not put Beauty and the Beast on it at all? WTF?
When I referred to 10 great classics I was referring to the older movies. However, I have other Disney articles that do include other great titles.
The fact that Lion King isn't on here has rendered this list only half useless.
Where is the LION KING?!?!?!
