When the holidays come around the anxiety levels go up. We always panic about what to buy for those special someones on our gift list. Most people dread having to buy for the teens and tweens in their lives. That feeling is rightfully earned because of the constantly changing wants and opinions of this age group (8-18).
I have discovered a few items that should help to quell your anxiety.

1. A cell phone. If you're child doesn't have one then they probably want one. Check online with the different cellphone companies for great deals on phones and calling plans. Don't forget the text messaging factor when searching for a plan. There has been many a parent with a phone bill for $200+ because of the text message charges.

2.For girls, having a cell phone means having to decorate it. Or rather, having a little bling. www.trinkies.com has the cutest antennae charms and cell phone dangle charms. There are some for everyday, such as butterflies and cheerleader bears, and some for the holidays, like ghosts and candy corn. The great thing is the price! Charms are $5.99 and dangle charms are $6.99.

3.If you have a budding scientist preferably a girl then check out the make your own perfume set at www.ape2zebra.com under big kids. There is also a make your own make-up kit.

4.For the tween girl: Dreamlife Plug and Play, your daughter can create her own character, earn money by dong chores and go shopping. All of this by simply plugging the machine into the TV. Another good thing is that it doesn't take up much space. Find it at your local department store.

5.High School Musical movie or soundtrack or both. Most every tween is going ga ga for this thing.

6. For boys you can almost never go wrong with video games or a video game system. Try the WII pronounced we. It incorporates actual movement during the game. Kids can get their exercise along with their video games. Be warned the graphics are not as sharp as the Playstation or XBox, but then it's all about the 'play' time.

7.Gift cards. You gotta love gift cards. There are some for almost any store you could hope for. Even grocery stores and drug stores are carrying a large selection of restaurant and department store gift cards. So no more traipsing all over town.

8. An experience gift. Buy them a spa day, a theme park pass, a sports day at a local batting cage or driving range. Your imagination is the limit.
