10 Inspiring Bible Verses About Beauty

Scriptures About Inner Beauty

Josh Wiley
Beauty is all around us. God created beauty everywhere that we look. What does beauty in a person look like? God describes how man looks at beauty from an outward perspective but God views beauty inwardly. Read these Bible Verses and ask yourself if you view beauty in the way that God wants you to. Feel free to use this topical bible study for a devotional, small group study, or Sunday school class. 10 Inspiring Bible Verses About Beauty

Matthew 23:27- Inner Beauty is what God seeks

"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness.

1 Peter 3:3-5- A gentle and quiet spirit

And let not your adornment be merely external-- braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses; but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God. For in this way in former times the holy women also, who hoped in God, used to adorn themselves, being submissive to their own husbands.

1 Samuel 16:7- God looks at your Heart

But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

Proverbs 31:30- Fear of the Lord

Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.

Ezekiel 28:17- Corrupted Wisdom

"Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom by reason of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I put you before kings, That they may see you.

Song of Songs 4:7- Beauty of a Spouse in Marriage

"You are altogether beautiful, my darling, And there is no blemish in you.

Philippians 4:8- Dwell in whatever is worth of praise

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things.

Genesis 1:31- God saw Beauty in what he created

And God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

Ecclesiastes 3:11- A heart set on eternity

He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end.

Proverbs 20:29 (KJV)- Beauty and wisdom of those old in age.

The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the gray head

I pray these beautiful Bible verses were inspiring and encouraging to you today. God made a beautiful creation and the true beauty he sees in our hearts. The heart of a person is expressed through how they act towards others and God. Praying that you reach many people with your scriptures. You have heard the old saying, "you may be the only Bible someone ever reads?" This may be the only scripture they read but we can pray that the Holy Spirit will awaken something inside that may cause them to want more. God Bless

By the way, my wife is certainly beautiful, but her beauty is truly inward but is seen in her outward expressions. Fine work indeed here friend.

Great work brother Josh. I do door to door as part of my Outreach work for my church and someone once told me to look down. I did, they said, that's really beautiful. What is I asked, they said your feet. Most beautiful are the feet of those who bring good tidings and the gospel to the lost. I thought of this after reading your beautiful works here. Well done and have a safe, happy and restful Memorial Day weekend brother. Love ya.
