10 items to always have in your vehicle
Vehicles have a mind of their own. Accidents and car trouble can happen at any time. In the blink of an eye, the car may break down in the middle of nowhere. What do you do? Are you prepared? We are often not prepared for the unknown.
In the trunk of your car vehicle there are some essentials every car owner should have. People are often not prepared with any of these items. As a car owner, you need to think of all the possibilities that may arise with any car.
The items in these article are an essential for any car owner to have. Do not be caught without them. They will assist you when you will need them the most.
Jumper cables. A dead battery leaves you frustrated and stranded. A pair of jumper cables will jolt your battery back to life. A second car will be needed for them to work. Jumper cables are a lifesaver. These cables are very important for a car owner to have in their trunk.
Cell phone. Pay phones are not always available, in case of an emergency. A fully charged cell phone will be there to lend you a helping hand. Cell phones will not always have reception. I believe even without reception, 911 can still be reached in case of an emergency.
Map/GPS. Are you bad with directions like I am? A map or GPS device is a necessity for any car owner. Being lost is never fun. A GPS device or map will lead you in the right direction of finding your way again. You will never be lost again.
Water. You could be stranded for hours or days. Dehydration can set in and you will be stuck without help. Two gallon jugs of water is a must. One gallon can be used for drinking and the other to prevent the car from overheating.
Fluids. Fluids include motor oil, and transmission oil. These are essential to keeping your vehicle running smoothly. Some vehicles have leaks and fluids need to be frequently added to keep the engine running properly. A funnel should also be included. Without a funnel, fluids cannot be added.
Never leave home without any of these items. You cannot prepare for everything. But anything is possible. Preparation is the key. These items should always be in your trunk. They will come in handy when you least expect it.
