2. Night is frightening. This non-fiction books tells the story of the author's survival in a concentration camp. This is both an inspirational and a scary story. I read this book three times in college. This book gives readers a true flavor of the pain of the Holocaust.

3. The Friday Night Knitting Club is enjoyable. This fiction book makes the list because Anita is Jewish. She is the person who convinces Georgia to open up the knitting store. This is a good book because it is about finding a family with friends.

4. The Zoo Keeper's Wife is gripping. I read this book for book club. I didn't want to read it because it is about the Holocaust. However, I couldn't put the book down. It is about a Polish couple who hides Jews in the Warsaw Zoo. I recommend this book.

5. The Birthday Party is remarkable. This book is about a Jewish prosecutor who gets kidnapped on his 38th birthday. His story of survival is remarkable. This book makes the reader not take life for granted. This book will be made into a movie.

6. Raisins and Almonds is a good mystery. This mystery is set in Australia. It involves the murder of a Jewish scholar. It is a good book for readers who want to learn a bit about Australia and Judaism.

7. People of the Book is historical. This book is about the journey of the famed Sarajevo Haggadah. It lands in the hands of an Australian book expert. She begins to unlock its mysteries and it changes her life forever.

8. Sarah's Key will unlock the French people's involvement in the Holocaust. This fiction story centers on an American journalist who researches the roundup of Parisian Jews. In addition, she uncovers her French family war secrets.

9. Waiting to Die in Miami is a good book. This book is about the author's journey from Cuba to America. It also tells about how he leans to live in America. This book makes the list because he goes to a Catholic family and his brother goes to a Jewish family. This book is a must read.

10. Songs for the Butcher's Daughter is about books and a language. This book is about a man who goes to work in a book warehouse. There is where he meets a woman who teaches him Yiddish. This is a good book.
