10 More Things to Do Before You Die

Porsha Clark
After much interest in the first article 10 things to do before you die, I felt compelled to put together a new list. Here are 10 more things that just might make your life that much more exciting. Get out there and start exploring.

Number 1: Watch the shuttle launch

Watching the shuttle launch is definitely something I hope to experience before it's my time. I can't even imagine the awe and beauty of it all. The thought of exploration is amazing to me and truly inspiring. The following are some of the most popular off-site locations for viewing a shuttle launch from NASA's Kennedy Space Center (Florida)

The Beach Line Expressway, also known as State Road 528

Jetty Park at Port Canaveral on the Atlantic side

Along the Indian River on U.S. Highway 1

Tip: Make sure you closely watch the launch date of the shuttle before you set your plans in stone.

Number 2: Swim with sharks

Yes I admit at first thought it makes me a little uneasy but if in a cage - I am so in!

Here is who will take you down below.

If in Mexico check out: http://www.swimwithwhalesharks.com/

Number 3: Attend Oktoberfest

Beer tents, laughter, and a good 'ol brewski -- what could be better? Nothing if you ask me. Known as the world's largest beer festival Oktoberfest draws in the crowds by the millions. The festival is held once a year in Munich, Germany and guarantees a good time. This is a great way to meet people from different cultures and celebrate brew. Oktoberfest runs from September 19th to October 4, 2009.

Non-stop flights can be found on both United and Lufthansa Airlines.

United Airlines: 1-800-538-2929

Lufthansa Airlines: 1-800-645-3880 or 1-800-581-6400

For more info on the festival be sure to check out: http://www.oktoberfest.de/en/index.php

Number 4: Visit the Rose Hall Great House in Montego Bay, Jamaica

I saw this house featured on a television show and it gave me the heebie jeebies. Legend has it the place is haunted and by the looks of it I would agree. The Rose Hall Great House was originally inhabited by the white witch, Annie Palmer who was apparently a mean spirited lady that practiced voodoo. The Great House shares land with the five star Ritz-Carlton Resort. If you're not into the thrill of the paranormal you can always play golf at the immaculate White Witch Golf Course that is set upon 200 acres of green hills.

Number 5: Run for office

Run for office if you feel so inclined.

Number 6: Open your own restaurant

The idea of opening a restaurant seems quite fun to me, but do not get me wrong I am well aware it's a lot of work. Pick your favorite type of food and dive head in. I know a lot of people that have done this and never looked back. If you decide to take the plunge there are many books to help guide you through the process of starting your own business.

Number 7: Travel/Volunteer Abroad

If you have the time volunteering abroad can touch the lives of many. There are so many places around the world that are in need and one person alone can make a difference. Do some research and figure out where you could serve best. For more information on volunteering abroad check out:

Number 8: Watch the changing of the guards in London

This may be a little slow for some but an experience nonetheless.

Address:

Buckingham Palace,
London SW1A 1AA

Time:

The changing takes place at 11:30 am daily during the summer which is May, June and July

There is no fee to watch the changing of the guards

Number 9: Go Green

If you have never recycled a can or bottle in your life now is the time to start. It's the little things in life that can create big change and every little bit helps. Learn what it means to live sustainably and how we as humans affect the Earth we live on. Educate yourself and pioneer a new way of living.

Number 10: Live Well

This may seem like a reminder, but I think it is so easy to forget in the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. Take care of yourself, you only have one body and one go at it. Keep yourself healthy if you don't already. Take a stance to be the best you can be at all times. Challenge yourself in ways you never dreamed before. If you smoke, quit. If you eat badly, eat better. Take pride in who you are so you can experience all of life's wonders.
