10 Movie Quotes Inspiring To Moi

1. Hannibal Rising

An unknown in the world of Hollywood, Hannibal Rising tells of a young Hannibal Lector, and all the tradgedies that befall him. At the end of the movie, there is a scene in which he tells his "girl" that he loves her, and her response sums up everything that they have been through. I made me feel kinda bad for both of them, in a nostalgic way.

"I love you." "What is left of you to love?"

2. Batman Returns

Tim Burton is one of my favorite director's and, in my opinion, this is one of his best films. Catwoman is lovingly wicked and the Penguin is disgustingly crude. This upcoming quote was so witty to me, it made me think, why don't we all think of what IT comes down to?

"But when it comes down to it, who's holding the umbrella?"

3. Ed Wood

Yes, another Burton film, but this movie inspired me to never give in, and it was presented in a humoruous and cutely perverse way.

"Why spend your life making someone else's dream?"

4. Hot Fuzz

This flick is hilarious and I can watch it endlessly. Simon Peg and Nick Frost are British geniuses. This quote is involving the main character's love life, and how he has trouble being dedicated to two things in his life. I feel for him, in ways that some people find hard to understand. It's hard, finding something you love and then finding another and being passionate about both.

"You just can't switch off, can you?"

5. 300

Ahh, Frank Miller's comic come to life. Yes, this movie caused quite a sensation in various areas, but that doesn't take away from it's quality. I felt braver, and maybe even a little dangerous watching this movie. It captures the blood and guts of war, and the heart being put into it.

"... For tonight, we dine in Hell!"

6. Moulin Rouge

The timeless story about the famous French gentleman's club, and the two lovers crossed in quite a problem. During the last few scenes, I must admit, I shed a few unvoluntary tears. Satine is dying and Christian is an uproar about how he believes she just used him. Which just isn't true, and for this fact, one must feel a lerch in their stomach. It makes me think of how many times I've been used or I've tried to save someone from something terrible.

"Tell me you don't love me!"

7. Fight Club

A nice little number, involving several attractive actors. Fight Club changed me in a way that's hard to explain. I felt freer, more human after watching it. This one scene, wear Edward Norton is beating the frosted guy to a pulp, was just heartstopping.

"I felt like destroying something beautiful today."

8. The Phantom of the Opera

A French classic about the ghost of the Opera Populaire. In this, we see Erik's obsession for Christine grow and torment his beautiful mind. You start to understand the importance of love and all the challenges circulating it.

"You only can make my song take flight..."

9. From Hell

Johnny Depp is expetionally good in this film, playing Freddie Aberline, the inspector trying to uncover Jack the Ripper. When he is discovered, he is questioned in front of his peers. His response is so bonechilling, I felt as if he was right, but he didn't know he would be. Like he was predicting the future.

"Men will look back and say I gave birth to the 21 first century."

10. Memoirs of a Geisha

Oscar Nominee, Memoirs of a Geisha, is an awesome, moving movie filled with suspense, sadness, and love. This quote was a tear jerker and I really admire her devotion and determination.

"Every step I have taken has to bring myself closer to you."
