The first is exercise which should be done all year regardless of what season it is. The health benefits from regular exercise are priceless. Exercise not only gets you bikini ready for summer but contributes to your beauty on the inside! A simple plan is walking or jogging 20-30 minutes a day for three days a week. Cardio gives us that nice flat stomach. Lifting light weights or anything heavy helps to tone that bikini body. Picking up the kids, groceries, or hand washing your clothes provides easy ways to burn calories. Who says house cleaning can't be an adequate work out?
Second is proper diet that consist of organic foods. Organic does not mean it has to be expensive. It just means opt for natural whole foods. Try to shop along the outside of the grocery store. Fruits, veggies, dairy, and lean meats are all that you need. The only reason to venture into the middle aisle section is for whole wheat bread, wheat pasta, brown rice, or oatmeal. The best choice of meats are fish, chicken, and turkey that are baked or fried in a little olive oil. A bikini ready body starts from the inside! A sample day would include: Breakfast- oatmeal, yogurt, or fruit. Lunch- a salad with olive oil and lemon dressing, fish, rice and a veggie or a grilled chicken sandwich on wheat. Dinner- as long you try to maintain a carb, a protein source, and a vegetable it's a good meal. Water should be the main drink. Tea and juice used sparingly are good for bikini bodies.
Third way to a summer body is relaxation. Meditating a few minutes a day can get you mentally ready to enjoy life. Yoga is also an excellent source of relaxation. Remember a healthy bikini body is not only how you look but also how you feel.
Fourth is about properly shaving. Shaving the bikini area and legs is crucial. There are many ways to shave so a trail and error can be done. Always start out with soaking the legs or area. Never shave at the beginning of your bath but at the end. You can fill a small bowl with water, and rinse the razor in it so the bath water stays clean. Dump the dirty water left in the bowl in the toilet. As for lather there are many options which include: shaving cream, vitamin e, astroglide, conditioner, or anything that lubes well.
Fifth way to be bikini ready is the use of moisture. Lotion should be applied religiously after a bath. The sun dries out the skin so replacing the moisture is necessary. There are many kinds of moisturizers like coconut oil, aloe, olive oil, ect. Kiss My Face makes wonderful organic lotions that can be found at a local health food store or online.
Sixth is just a suggestion that has many benefits. The application of a mask face can help make you feel refreshed, and clean all the impurities out of the skin. Using all natural Indian clay, calcium bentonite, is "the most powerful facial." I know from experience that it is truly the best! I bought Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay from Vitamin Shoppe. I applied to my face and it pulsated! It's a face massage in a jar! It's organic, not tested on animals, and pretty cheap.
Seventh step to a bikini body is skin protection. Skin cancer is not something we want to develop from too much fun in the sun. A high spf sun screen should be applied and a water proof version is best. Hats are good for protecting the hair and face from sun damage. Hats are also a good accessory to any bikini. Sun glasses are good for the eyes and can also make you look stylish.
Eighth is to remember lip balm. The sun can make your lips dry and painful. A lip balm with spf is a good choice to accompany a bikini body. Application of the lip balm should be often. Keep some in your beach bag, car, or purse.
Ninth is the bikini itself. Bring a friend to help you choose the right fit. Make sure you look in a 360 degree mirror to check every angle before buying the swimsuit. Think of the activities you plan to do like sun bathing, swimming, volley ball, ect. A spaghetti strap halter may not be the perfect choice to play volley ball in. Most bikinis are sold in separates so try on different tops and bottoms. One size doesn't fit all. Most women are a combination of small tops and big bottoms or the opposite.
Tenth is to have self confidence in your bikini. Walk with good posture and head up. Everyone looks good when they are confident in themselves. No one is perfect and you should embrace your bikini body! Show off unique features like freckles, complexion, arms, legs, ect by accessorizing or proper swimsuit style.
These ten steps are your guide to a great bikini body. Use all ten or just a few to improve your summer experience. Summer is a time to bare skin and have fun! Beauty starts from the inside and radiates to the outside attracting positive attention.
