Rick Ray came up with some fantastic questions for the Dalai Lama, with my favourite question being "at what point do you leave tradition behind for what's modern?" After this question, the Dalai Lama referenced several times to certain things being "out of date", as he put it. Although he is confident at being Tibetan at the core, he's very focused on others instead of himself. What an admirable quality!
Having recently been enrolled in Chinese, I will be plunging into Chinese culture and history in the process. Although the invasion of peaceful Tibet, I have no resentment towards the Chinese. By all means, I would find joy in hearing that China withdrew from Tibet. I honestly don't think China will act as such, at least for a while, but I can hope.
"10 Questions for the Dalai Lama" is something that EVERY PERSON (no matter which religion) should spend the time to watch at least once. Truly take to heart what's being said and apply his wisdom.
