In interviews Michelle Robinson Obama often mentions the importance of family. As a working mom with her own career, she manages to care for two daughters and includes herself in her husband's work.
According to a January 29, 2007 Newsweek article "She is intimately involved with her husband's work, reading drafts of his major speeches and tweaking his big ideas and little punctuation choices alike."
Listed as one of the "25 of the World's Most Inspiring Women" in the May 2006 issue of Essence magazine, this woman is the backbone and strength behind her husband. She is also a strong force along side her husband in his campaign fundraising efforts. So far Senator Obama's campaign raised approximately $25 million.
