She just may be the next First Lady of the United States. Beautiful, smart and grounded, this woman would be a welcomed presence representing women from across the board in The White House. Married to democratic powerhouse and Presidential candidate Barack Obama, Michelle Robinson Obama is an accomplished individual in her own right. She and Senator Obama married in 1992 and have two daughters Malia and Sasha. She met Barack while working at a downtown Chicago law firm in 1989.

In interviews Michelle Robinson Obama often mentions the importance of family. As a working mom with her own career, she manages to care for two daughters and includes herself in her husband's work.

According to a January 29, 2007 Newsweek article "She is intimately involved with her husband's work, reading drafts of his major speeches and tweaking his big ideas and little punctuation choices alike."

Listed as one of the "25 of the World's Most Inspiring Women" in the May 2006 issue of Essence magazine, this woman is the backbone and strength behind her husband. She is also a strong force along side her husband in his campaign fundraising efforts. So far Senator Obama's campaign raised approximately $25 million.
