1. You tried to change him.
If your man grows facial hair, and he likes it, it isn't fair of you to nag him constantly to shave it because you don't like it. The man doesn't want to be changed any more than you do.
2. You shoved him down your parents' throats.
Every guy wants to impress the parents of the gal he is considering getting intensely serious with, however throwing him out in the limelight before his time is guaranteed to give him cold feet long before the wedding. Guys have a hard enough time just pleasing the girl! Adding parents to the mix only makes him have to work a million times harder, all the while making him self-conscious of his every move.
3. You didn't take care of yourself.
If you were constantly asking your guy if you looked fat, I can tell you that he must have been turned off at every turn. Guys do not want to be your source of self-esteem. Give the guy a break. If you have to ask, then yes! You do look fat in those jeans! My husband actually has an ex-girlfriend who used to whine to him about how she was worried that she "smelled bad 'down there'". Wow, really? Girl, that's scary. Educate yourself in personal hygiene and NEVER tell a guy something like that.
4. You were overbearing.
What? You? Never! Well, truth be told, women can be more overbearing than guys, and guys hate it! If you were constantly pushing him to do things your way all the time, that's a real kicker. That, in and of itself, can make or break a relationship. Lay off already!
5. You kicked him to the curb then you wanted him back.
Men aren't fish. They don't like to be tossed out then reeled back in. If you broke up with him to get attention, then got upset because he didn't want you back- suck it up, big girl. It's pathetic to play with a guy's emotions, and you wouldn't have liked it if he had done it to you.
6. You stalk him.
Face it, if he has moved on and is happy (or even if he's not happy) and you're spying on his myspace/facebook etc, you really have issues. My husband's ex blogged about him up to, and over, a year later! He was so annoyed by her stalk-ish, and immature behavior. It didn't flatter him, it made him wonder why he hadn't dumped her sooner.
7. You tried to ruin the new 'good thing' in his life.
Yes, he has a new girlfriend. If you're trying to drag her through the mud you definitely aren't going to win his heart back. That's just psycho! If he has moved on, it is probably best that you follow suit. If he wanted to be with you again, you would be the one on his arm. Put on your big girl pants and strut it elsewhere.
8. You tried to ruin his rep when he didn't take you back.
Girls, please realize that when the party's over, his friends are no longer YOUR friends too. Same goes with girls. Trying to hang out with his friends after the breakup just sends him the message that you are missing him so bad that you are desperate enough to hang out with his friends just to FEEL closer to him.
9. You keep coming back.
If you keep finding reasons to drive past his house, that makes him nervous. Go away already! It's hard to explain your behavior to his friends and new girl, so just quit it already! The more you try to barge into his life, the more likely he is to resent you for it.
10. You didn't play by the rules.
Breakups are sad, but they don't have to be nasty. If you were a complete beeyatch about the whole thing, that is what is going to leave the lasting impression on him. Trust me, he's going to spend the rest of his life telling the story of how "crazy" you were to anyone that will listen!
