One reason that many people travel to SF for San Francisco LGBT is because the city is very LGBT Friendly. San Francisco, CA is one of the largest cities that have a big LGBT community. A lot of people will go to SF LGBT Pride to find out who they are. San Francisco offers many cultural, political, music, artistic, and soul seeking environments. There are many different groups during SF LGBT Pride that there is something for everyone.
#8 Experience Coming out
Some people will come to SF LGBT Pride to celebrate coming out. They may come out to themselves, family members, or friends. Coming out is a process and choice to let people know your sexual orientation and who you are. Coming out is a very brave thing to do, and it can be a happy celebration especially during SF LGBT Pride.
#7 Have a Commitment Ceremony
There are many Californian LGBT People continue to fight to repeal Prop 8 even with it being upheld. Marriage Equality is a very important issue with all LGBT Pride Events this year. Some couples may come to SF LGBT Pride to celebrate their commitment to each other, and their fight to obtain marriage equality.
#6 Participate in the SF LGBT Pride Activities
There are lots of different activities happening in SF during LGBT Pride weekend. The activities are one of the main reasons people head to SF for LGBT Pride. Popular activities during LGBT pride in SF include: The LGBT Pride Festival, LGBT Pride Parade, Transgender March, Dyke March, LGBT Film festival, and the Pink Party.
#5 Meet all kinds of LGBT People
San Francisco LGBT Pride attracts all kinds' people from all walks. It is a great pace to meet new people, and share common experiences like coming out, or learn new things about different cultures.
#4 Find Love, or Lust
Another reason people go to SF for LGBT pride is to express their sexual freedom. A lot of Gays and Lesbians go to SF Pride to find love, or just to hook up. With so many people there, you definitely have a good chance if you are interested in meeting someone during SF LGBT Pride weekend.
#3 Support your Political Beliefs
This year many LGBT people are going to SF Pride to support different political beliefs. Some political campaigns include repealing "Don't Ask, Don't tell", and legalizing same sex marriage.
#2 Celebrate your Sexual Diversity
Some people go to SF for LGBT Pride to celebrate their sexual diversity and who they are. There are all kinds of people that identify in many different ways. Their will be lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgender, drag queens, straights, and just all kinds of people.

Post a CommentI myself was at NY Pride this year, but one day I hope to be in SF for the pride parade. NY Pride is huge and extraordinarily diverse, but I've never seen SF. They have a wonderful queer community, of course, and all my friends tell me I MUST get out there at some point...
