10 Reasons Why People NEVER Listen to What We Are Saying

Phillip W. Chambley
I'm sorry, did you just say something? It's truly amazing how many people never listen to what we are actually saying in life. At times, you just want to kill these people and go about your business as tho nothing ever happened. Unfortunately, in today's society we can not do this, because we will most likely be arrested for murder, although the jury would think otherwise after you tell them the circumstances involved!...........

How many times has your boss walked away while you were talking? Do people sometimes hang up during your phone conversation for NO apparent reason at all and leave you stranded without any explanation? Do your relatives look at you funny while you are talking? These are some of the reasons I have came up with, which can actually be comical at times. Always remember with any conversation that the most important subject that all human beings have talked about for thousands of years is ironically themselves.

1. Out of the 54 years of my life, I have found that the majority of people just don't listen to what you are saying simply because they are self centered and surround themselves within themselves. It's as tho they live in a shell and could care less about anybody except for themselves. (It's ironic how these people will always listen whenever it has something to do with money?)

2. Snob issues always seem to be a problem in life for people that just don't listen? In other words, "I am better than you!" Why should I listen to what you are saying? "I am an intelligent person and you are stupid!" I have a masters degree in arts & crafts and you don't? "Duh!"

3. Money always seems to be a problem with unlisteners. "I am sorry but you just don't make enough money for me to listen to what you are saying?" Because they have more money than you do, they just simply turn around and walk away unless they are drinking and want to tell you about their life history regarding have they have accumulated their wealth over so many years especially men with certain egotistical behavior disorders.

4. Bad breath can also be a problem. Most people that you work with will never say "Jesus Christ your breath stinks" and simply turn around and walk away. Try taking some breath mints or gum after your lunch break especially after eating some really "smelly foods".

5. Co-workers that think you are some kind of spy may be suspicious of your questions during your conversation. Beware of these people. What you say to them can also be used against you, especially if you say something offensive and could possibly cause you your job if you're not careful. They may also be recording your conversation while they appear to not be listening.

6. Relatives can always be a problem during ignored conversations. These people may have heard something BAD about you. If you try to talk to them, they look at you like you as a murderer and also walk away. Although, your simple situation may have been making a gigantic "mountain out of an ant hill". Your relatives could care less.

7. People that only hear what they want to hear? This is confusing? Their brain apparently after so many years only computes certain information and this is what they hear. Elderly people seem to always have a problem with this even tho they hear and listen to every word you are speaking.

8. Speaking too softly in a loud enviroment. Some people have a soft voice and have never figured a way to simply "Speak Up" This seems to be a common problem with people socializing in a bar with loud music. Unfortunately, there is no slolution to this problem.

9. Your physical appearance may be so bad that certain people find it disgusting.Try to find a way to make yourself more presentable among other human beings. Lipstick for females is one way. "Weird" but enticing deordorant is another way for males.

10. Your boss that seems to never hear a word you are stating sometimes. It could be they have had problems with upper management and can not resolve this issue over a period of time. Email these corporate officials under an annonymous name and tell them whats going on. Be careful how you write this email. Your boss could somehow spot your writings and fire you over something simple.
