10 Songs of Halloween Music to Spook You and Your Friends

Pumpkins, and goblins, and ghouls, oh my! Yet another holiday season is on its grim way to your doorsteps and kettles are, indeed, rattling, with quite a spooky sneer. Why it seems like just last night when I had that nightmare about the flesh-devouring sea creatures of yonder sea vessel's doom! What else is there to do but find some songs to keep those creepy critters at bay! Here is a list of the top 10 Halloween songs, in no discernible order, sure to stun those slimy monsters and cheer some churl up with the quickness! Feel free to peruse and shuffle at your leisure!

1. The Rolling Stones - Paint It Black. A song that brings a lot to mind, with hints of summer hidden within the lyrics, this song definitely is sure to keep the scares away. When else will the sun be blotted from the sky than the night of Halloween? This song made it on this list because of the creepy lyrics.
2. Deadmau5 - Ghosts N Stuff. With the Halloween theme in mind, here is a track that pays tribute to the ghastliness of it all. Released on April 7, 2009 by label Ultra Records, this song appears on the album Club Anthems, and is available on amazon.com as well. This made my list especially because of the spooky feel of it. It just feels spooky.
3. Tom Ato - The Funeral (Band of Tomatoes Remix). With a space on MySpace.com (http://www.myspace.com/tomato), this group will keeps the ghosts a rocking, pop locking, and just have a groovy time, in general. Although the title speaks of a funeral, don't be afraid to be snide and play this song during the Halloween!
4. memory tapes - bicycle (horrors comic dub). Another myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/memorytapes). This is a clear, gloomy homage to Halloween. This song made it onto the list through sheer willpower. It has a clear and fantastic feel to it, and will move you, even through the supernatural.
5. Unkle - Restless (Fake Blood Mix). This track definitely made it onto the list because of its garlic/silver bullet - like ability to deter all types of creatures from the prowl. Just don't spill any of this potent song and stain the carpets!
6. The Kinks - Sunny Afternoon. Every Halloween holiday needs a little sun. This is just the song that brings it. Don't be fooled, who knows what may be lurking in the background! Without this song in the top 10 list, everything may just be consumed!
7. Sparks - Halloween, Eaten By The Monster Of Love. A little lighthearted humor for the Halloween festivities. This song won't let the monster get you, we promise!
8. Evangelicals - The Ghost Of Abner E. Norman (The Halloween Song). This peppy song will spook anyone! This Halloween will be a happy one, and joy will be everlasting, even with the scary things that go on during this holiday.
